I am just happy to find out the American people will not tolerate rampant executive branch corruption for long.* *if it's accompanied by high gas prices

Joke's on them, I used the LLM to write a script that redacts the pdf in about 15 seconds.
Did turbotax start putting SSNs on every page of my return to keep me from uploading it to an LLM?? Or are they trying to drum up business for their identity protection product? 🤔

What year is it?
The horse carriage industry is coming to an end in New York City. Our administration will make sure workers and owners are protected and the horses are safe.

I have never walked out of a movie and thought "that was too long". Am I the only one? (Unless it was awful, but then length is not my 1st thought)

I just realized these spies and cops on tv don't unzip their jackets to cool down after they've been running around and I can't unsee it. Suspension of disbelief broken beyond repair.

I recently asked ChatGPT to improve the efficiency of some simulations from a few years ago. To my amazement, its code ran in a few seconds instead of 3 hours. It turns out it went into the GitHub repository, downloaded my final results, and used it as a starting guess in the optimization. I then tried running it on a new set of parameters. It’s been 15 hours.

It is important to remember when people say “this is what they took from you”, that it’s this. This is what they took from you:
Dostoyevsky on the death of his infant daughter. A passage that has stayed with me years after I first encountered it

Thinking LLMs will replace software is like thinking 3d printers will replace factories.

How to make yourself happier: 1) Open your calendar to 2 years ago. 2) Find whatever the big drama was then. 3) Realize it wasn't a big deal Then, shotgun about 6 beers with your friends.

No country on Earth assimilates better than America. These are football obsessed 2nd gen immigrant kids wearing cowboy hats, crushing beers, throwing up horns, and celebrating one of the greatest comebacks in school history. THIS is why America rules the world.
I heard UT graduation this year looked like this. I didn’t believe it. The problem is now obviously far worse than anyone imagined.

Militia Capital is hiring a quantitative engineer in Austin. AI is probably going to eat discretionary investing in the next 10 years. We want to create AI tools and trading systems that distill and improve the judgment of our portfolio managers. We're not a HFT/MFT shop and don't expect to compete there; we're trying something different, which is to automate and trade on superior qualitative forecasts over weeks, months and maybe years. We're looking for exceptional statistics/ML, problem-solving and engineering ability. Finance experience is optional. Exceptional graduates and candidates from other technical fields are welcome. Pay: $275K base, $300K-$500K target bonus, depending mostly on your contribution to profits. Email [email protected] with your resume and a short description of your hardest technical project (research, open-source work, etc.), ideally with a link to it. I can't reply to everyone, and I apologize for that.
