1. I have made the case for and look forward to Helen Zille becoming mayor of JHB. I will also probably reiterate my case for voting for her just before November 4. But now I want to reflect on the character of some of the engagement & what it means for progressive change.
15. They are a cancer that prevents the building of societal coalitions required for progressive change.
We need to remember; we are defined not by our rhetoric but by our actions. Also, you cannot build a humane society if you hate those who don’t look like & think like you.

1. Another Obama quote: ‘Some of these folks says, you know Abdul did not like some things you did as President. Let me tell you something. We are not going to agree on every detail on every issue.’
