I remember dating a man who was very well-employed and earned over a million francs monthly. At the time, I was unemployed and surviving on my little business. I was never the type to ask for money, allowances or anything. I was just a quiet, simple girl trying to survive.
We had an issue and stopped talking, but he kept insisting that we meet. I lived in another town and was so broke that I couldn’t afford transportation to see him. I didn’t want to ask him for transport money either.
Two weeks later, he reached out again. I told him about an important event I desperately needed to attend. He asked, “If the event is that important, why don’t you come and see me first?”
I insisted that the event was important, and he sent me an Express Exchange message saying he had transferred money to me.
I took the last 500 francs I had, paid 300 francs for a bike to Half Mile and went to cash out. Only for them to tell me the code was incorrect.
I immediately went to a call box, paid 100 francs to call him and explain what had happened. The moment he realised it was me, he laughed and hung up.
I had to trek all the way back home.
Ladies, please, work hard. Build something for yourself. Make your own money. Financial independence is not just about luxury, soft life or buying nice things. Sometimes, it is about having the dignity to walk away, the freedom to make your own decisions and never having to beg someone for basic consideration.
The amount of cruelty I experienced simply because I had no money is something I will never forget.
Dedicating this to my lovely followers.... Listen, enjoy and blush because you all are special... You all are the butterflies in my belly😍😘🦋

Academia is strange.
You can publish papers, win grants, mentor students, and still feel you're not doing enough.
Perhaps the problem isn't how much we achieve.
Perhaps it's how we define success.
Can this driver not sing along? Because for every sound the breath produced is breath-taking😭. Imagine passing through this hell from Magodo to Ikate... God abeg!
Most of my house-keeping skills comes from my grand-aunt. The last two skills I'm yet to learn from her are floral arrangements and embroidery. I love watching her arrange flowers.

Run to Elsevier Researcher Academy and take at least two or three courses there. You’ll learn a lot about academic writing, research, publishing, research ethics and the peer-review process.
The courses are free, and you get certificates of completion.
I have about 9 certificates already.

YouTuber Browney was SHOCKED after visiting China’s FAT LOSS PRISON, where overweight people spend at least 30 DAYS doing nothing but trying to LOSE WEIGHT, and ended up dropping 5.2 LBS in just 48 HOURS 😳🔥
For just $400 a month, EVERYTHING is included, from accommodation to three LOW-CALORIE meals a day, with participants required to work out FOUR TIMES DAILY and get WEIGHED every morning and night

I was just thinking in today’s funding environment, people wouldn’t fund GLP-1 or PD-1 drugs b/c they are the results of translational research, they’re not “AI-designed” drugs
18 months to p=0.057 in a tiny mouse study with millions of dollars is not that impressive, but people hyping it up b/c AI and agents and he used CROs. 🧐. Everyone used an LLM to accelerate whatever parts in their work and everyone uses CRO b
However, the methods behind a milestoe do not matter.
I use AI all the time. I’m not anti-AI by any means. Just separating out milestone in real-life vs. method to get to milestone.
The big downside of AI hype is that a lot of translational R&D candidates are not getting funded b/c they don’t have enough AI in their process v
