So deeply saddened to hear this. Senator Day meant a lot to IPIC and to me personally. He was a great man and leader. On his final day in Ottawa he walked from the Hill to the IPIC offices to gift me a framed patent from 1855. That’s the kind of guy he was. #cdnpoli #cdnIP

Our dearest sympathies go out to the family and friends of former Senator Joseph Day. Canadians will remember his service one of dedication and distinction. Although his retirement goes back four years, it seems like he was in the #SenateCA just yesterday. #RIP
