1. More billionaires are associated with less poverty.
2. Increasing billionaires per capita by ten fold lowers poverty by 43 percentage points.
3. Sweden has more billionaires per 10M people than the U.S. (34 vs 30)
4. Correlation is fairly strong (R-squared of 0.6 for two variable cross-section data)
4. Since the graph is only a correlation, what do you think is the cause?

The average annualized real return of US bonds for the last 100 years is about 1.45%.
So locking in a real return of 1.4% on an instrument you can cash in after 5 years is a pretty good return historically, especially tax deferred.
Haven't seen this on I-bonds in 20 years!

Treasury just announced the new I-bond rate: 5.51% on bonds bought from Nov 1 through April 30
1.40% of that is a fixed rate on top of inflation, & it stays with the bond for all 30 years
That's the best fixed rate since 2006

Writing this in my personal capacity, but I have been flying these types of aircraft for more than 20 years, with over 8,000 hours, and have reasonable familiarity with how the charter world operates. I feel compelled to post after seeing commentary about the Lear 60 crash, from missile strikes to DEI to critiquing this poor womanās final radio calls.
That last part is what I find most troubling. She was the second-in-command (SIC), and while she was empowered to point out mistakes as part of good crew resource management, she was doing her job, communicating with ATC right to the end in a terrifying situation. She likely knew before many of those calls that she was going to die. I have heard final calls from friends, from military pilots with thousands of hours in fighter aircraft, and they are just as heartbreaking because they know the end is approaching.
I understand the public interest given the footage and audio. But you do not know the aircraftās maintenance history, whether there was a structural failure, if any failure was induced by turbulence, overspeed, or overcontrol, or everything happening in that cockpit. I am sure weather will be part of the investigation, but beyond that, it is speculation. The charter industry routinely hires commercial pilots very early in their careers to gain experience alongside an ATP-qualified captain before they move up to the airlines. She would still have the appropriate training, qualifications, and checkouts by an FAA examiner or designee.
Let people investigate, learn, and share the facts. Be respectful to those who perished and the families who carry their memories. God bless them and their loved ones.

For those who care. This is the same unit layout, same complex in the Village Apartments, the Hills. Updated.
Price $2388. Same in 2026 dollars as when I lived there. Split 6 ways. $400.
Maybe there are extra charges. Maybe they wonāt let 6 guys in there ( we werenāt supposed to be there either ). I donāt know. But the math is the math.
Tbh, I didnāt mind living with 5 roommates. We all were in the same boat. I moved in when I was 24. Lived there or across the way for 2 years before I only needed one roommate
If itās not the lifestyle for you. So be it. If you donāt think just getting any job to get started is the right career choice for you. Do what you think is right.
I donāt care and I donāt judge.

Robert and I are thrilled that our gift of over 2 million shares of SpaceX stock will be distributed to childrenās Trump accounts in December!
Ā
Our initial gift (shares transferring to escrow as we speak) will go to 11 to 17-year-olds who live in zip codes with median family income (MFI) of $57,000 or less, and to those who live in zip codes with too few residents for an MFI to be reported in the census.Ā These families should receive a notice by Monday.Ā
Ā
In a few weeks, an additional gift will be finalized for eligible 11 to 17-year-old children in military families serving overseas, children in foster care, and more children whose MFI is $90,000 or less living in counties near our home in the great state of Texas.
Ā
Thank you to the incredible team @SpaceX, @Treasury, @IRS, @DellFdn, @GreaterHorizons, @InvestAmerica24, and the legal firms of Morgan Lewis and Gibson Dunn for working over the past few months to make this happen.
Ā
We are deeply grateful for the groundbreaking work that Brad Gerstner @altcap and @MichaelDellĀ have done for the long-term financial security for millions of kids.

Itās almost incomprehensible how wide the distance is between someone whoās working at the frontier with AI and basically everyone else right now.
The crazy thing is these lines are not converging, but only growing farther apart. If the curve of AI progress had leveled off, it would certainly have given most people and companies time to catch up or implement their workflows in a standardized way. The technology would have neutralized competitive advantage because everyone would be using it the same way.
But whatās happened is the opposite. The curve of AI progress is basically going vertical right now, which means if you had codified your processes 3-6 months ago youāre likely already behind again. Now imagine most companies that kicked into gear a year ago and thought that they were done. Even further behind now.
Iāve never seen a technology in my life and career that improves at this rate, which consequently means you need to upgrade your expectations at a similar rate. Our brains werenāt wired for this, and our organizational change management processes certainly werenāt either.
With any form of recursive self improvement, things just get wilder. Itās a time when you will need to be constantly reevaluating the things that didnāt work just a couple months ago to see if they now can be solved. AI native companies certainly have a strong advantage due to this right now, so now it comes down to can the bigger companies keep up. Wild times.
Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineerās laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified.
The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far.
Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the companyās funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete.
As an immediate precaution, Binance has:
- temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed;
- revoked the affected address authorisation;
- engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds.
Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice.
Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions.
