Would appreciate it if you could RT this so that people who used to follow me can find me. My account was hacked and bought by some crypto cunt. I’d have forgiven you for believing the back to back home games of Everton/West Ham pushed me to switching United for crypto though 👍🏼
Who popularised gray being the only interior design choice? It's so dull and boring. 3 different shops and everythings gray. 50 shades of gray is a mediocre book, not a great selection for decorating.

🇾🇪 The Media Double Standards: How United Beat Chelsea, But Lost (again) in the Headlines 🧵
United beat Chelsea 2-1 on Saturday. And it was a solid performance against a top-four side. So you'd expect some remotely decent coverage for a change, maybe even a bit of - dare I say it - positivity.
Instead, the usual gang took to their social media accounts and football shows with their knives out before the ink was dry on the match reports. Within hours, the same predictable voices were questioning Amorim's tactics, his legitimacy, even his future at the club. It's a pattern we've seen countless times - one that reveals more about media agendas than United's actual problems.
What follows exposes how destructive journalism has replaced constructive criticism, how personal grudges drive coverage, and why United face a different set of rules than everyone else.

People are going to look at Sir Jim Ratcliffe's Glazer comments & rightly be infuriated by them. The problem for him is other parts of interview then don't matter. What else he said though is notable:
- Management has done a poor job for the past 12 years & ownership played a role. In his words, the club made a 'complete cock up of it'. There is a correlation between success & money, United broke the mould
- Manchester United shouldn't have ups & downs, but they've been poorly managed & made poor decisions. Used David Moyes as an example & said Real Madrid would have never made a decision like that
- The club has missed the data revolution, unlike Brentford, Brighton, Liverpool etc. Explained how relationships & chemistry between the connected roles, how a management team will provide stability
- This is the unpleasant year, which will be done by the summer then it is about player recruitment. You can have a fancy stadium, but won't win a thing without getting recruitment right
- Says more mistakes might be made & they're not perfect, but believes in what they are doing & the trajectory is up, they have the right people in place
- Ratcliffe can't outright blame the Glazers, he has to work with them. He can hint, but he can't pile it on like we can. It was nice to see him tell the truth about Woodward & Arnold, at least
Point is, take in everything that is said. Unfortunately though, those Glazers remarks are triggering & they're going to be held against him.

🇾🇪 Who is Marc Armstrong & Why Manchester United Desperately Needed Him 🧵
In this thread we’ll look at how Armstrong’s appointment has the potential to radically transform United’s dire financial situation.
🔴 It’s no secret that Manchester United has experienced significant financial difficulties in recent years. During the pandemic, the club's total revenue fell from approximately £627m in the 2018/19 season to around £494m in 2020/21, a decline of nearly 21%.
Matchday revenue was particularly affected, decreasing from approximately £110m to just £6m during this period, representing a 94% reduction primarily due to restrictions on fan attendance at Old Trafford.
The financial situation has continued to deteriorate post-pandemic, with the club accumulating losses approaching £400m over the past five years. These losses have forced significant cost cutting measures, including staff redundancies and increasing ticket prices to generate additional revenue.

I understand the emotion that fuels this anger, but this is not remotely true. INEOS aren't doing a perfect job, but there are so many misconceptions about their ownership, the takeover, Qatar, @nqatpod & I spoke on this week.
There is a path to full ownership, it is in legal writing & that window is in the coming months.
- the money INEOS have invested
- the path to a full sale is clear & ahead
- SEC filings explained in full
- INEOS found another way into the club
- They also paid an $8 per share premium
- INEOS have right of first refusal
- 18 month window closes in 4 months
- Glazers not selling in full isn't INEOS' fault
- They aren't worse than the Glazers!
- Qatar's bid was a ruse, had no substance
Sir Jim and Ineos didn’t have to come here, they have saved the cunts that have killed us.
There is no path way forward for him to buy 100% of Man Utd.
Sacked staff that are on pennys
He bailed out the worst thing that’s happened to this club. The Glazers. Fuck them and fuck the Rothschild family for lending them the money.
No Life Long Man Utd Fan does this:
• Kept The Glazers
• Sacked Staff
• Made Mancunians lose jobs
• Season ticket at Chelsea
• Sponsors Spurs
• Plus a load of other SHITE
• No plan to inject money
• Same Plan as Glazers
FANS NEED TO REALISE HE DIDNT HAVE TO COME HERE, HE HAS KEPT THE GLAZERS IN AND BLAMING "LITTLE CHOICE"
HIS PLAN IS TO NEVER FUND THE CLUB, HIS 300M INJECTION WAS ON SHARES….
HE HAS LOST THE FAN BASE AND THE QUICKER WE GET THEM ALL OUT THE BETTER
We are about to sink and never rise unless we do action….

For a simple view on what this statement means… (link below to more detail)
Under current PSR rules #MUFC can make allowable losses of £105mn over a 3 year period.
Based on last set of accounts I think United will have around £71mn in losses over last 3 years by the end of the season. Ie £34mn of headroom vs what they are allowed.
So theoretically they can spend on transfer fees (and their cost in the profit and loss account is spread over the length of the player contract) and associated player wages. E.g. You could buy a player for £50mn on a £150k/ week contract for 5 years. In PSR terms this would be
£10mn/ yr transfer fee cost
+ £7.8mn wage cost
= £17.8mn total PSR P&L cost.
In fact, on that maths United could theoretically buy 2 players on that type of deal and still be fine in PSR terms.
So why might that not happen? Well you actually need to pay the selling team the fee in cash and the player wages. And United don’t have all that much cash because they’ve used a lot of their “credit card” (revolving cash facility), and they still owe a lot of transfer fees for historical transfers. Now you can pay transfer fees in instalments and spread the cost over time, but all that really does is keep your hands tied for longer and each player bought becomes more risky.
So when the club are saying they need to move players on before they can bring players in, very simply it’s to boost the cash flow and redeploy it in the squad to improve it (sound familiar with what Jim has said in the past…?). And it’s precisely why a sale of someone like Casemiro/ Rashford et al etc. for £25mn would give the club a lot more leeway in what they can do in the market in Jan.
So the club, in my view, are being pretty prudent and responsible in how they are using their cash at the moment.
I've dug into this in a little more detail than my previous back of the envelope calcs.
I still have #MUFC at c.£75mn cash heading into summer '25, so about the same as summer '24 albeit with only £70mn left in the credit facility as buffer. So when the club say they need to sell to buy, as explained before it's for two reasons: 1. PSR and 2. Cash (to fund transfers).
There should be more capacity (cash and PSR terms) in Summer '25 as more players are sold/ contracts expire and they receive next big tranches of sponsorship and broadcasting income.
This does not include any transfer activity in Jan and has some arguably generous assumptions in here, notably:
- 75% of broadcasting and ex Adidas commercial revs still to be paid by 30 Jun '25 (there are usually bigger payments at the start of each season).
- £4.3mn rev/ game (cash impact will likely be lower due to prepaid season tickets)
- Used transfer receivables/ payables due <1 yr figures from 30 Jun '24 (30 Sept '24 figs incl. receivables and payables from Summer '24 transfer activity, likely due b/w 1 Jul '25 and 30 Sep '25).

There's been a flurry of reports in the past few hours with it appearing that there are briefs from both agents & club, so let's take a look at what they actually say.
- Jamie Jackson's scare mongering piece looks like a club brief that is exaggerating the obvious. The headline is that 'Manchester United will listen to offers for Mainoo, Garnacho and Højlund', but article states 'United are not actively seeking to offload'. Next.
- Chris Wheeler with a classic Daily Mail tabloid sensationalist article. This is a clear agent brief as he seeks to get a better deal for his client, while the journalist gets a juicy headline on his end. Next.
- Samuel Luckhurst is the last to the party so he piles on as he always does, making it out Kobbie Mainoo is unhappy when the reality is it's just his agency doing what they think is best for their client. Next.
- The United Stand following Wheeler's lead, taking the opportunity to churn out some content they can use on their channel. It can be as simple as 'would you be interested in Kobbie should he become available?' 'Yes, of course'. It's really a non-story turned into one.
The Athletic piece is the only one that looks at the situation earnestly & honestly. Manchester United's financial situation is dire, homegrown talent is pure profit but the club aren't actively looking to sell them.
This looks like Kobbie Mainoo's agent kickstarting the negotiating over a deal & the club stating their financial situation, which means no crazy deals will be handed out on their end.
Kobbie Mainoo’s contract with the option means he's effectively signed through June 2028. He's not for sale, a clearly key part of the club's future & would cost a fortune to actually sanction a deal. It's a non-story.
What the media is trying to do is whip up a frenzy & it has worked. Look at the freak out over the prospect of Mainoo leaving. The media cycle keeps on churning.
🚨 Manchester United will reluctantly consider sale of homegrown talents like Kobbie Mainoo + Alejandro Garnacho to help comply with financial rules . #MUFC not actively looking to trade pair but neither untouchable if suitable offers arrive @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/6044696…
Adam Neville retweeted
Kobbie Mainoo’s contract with #MUFC runs until June 2027 and the club hold an option to extend that for an additional year to June 2028. The midfielder is not for sale, is a een as vital to United’s future and Chelsea will not be able to speak to him until June 2028 due to inter-country rules on Bosman dealings. End of story.

This video is a set up. He starts by saying let's see which players respond, then engages with everyone.. except Marcus Rashford.
Why would Rashford want anything to do with him when he used to work for The United Stand, the channel that has targeted him with abuse for years.
This grafter claims 'no agendas' in his bio, but his behaviour & the screenshot & title he's chosen to use say exactly the opposite. Somehow he's been given media access, this is why he shouldn't.

I don’t really do endorsements. I’m not shy about sharing my views, but I hate politics and don’t trust most politicians.
I also understand that people want to hear from me because I am not just a celebrity, I am a former Republican Governor.
My time as Governor taught me to love policy and ignore politics. I’m proud of the work I did to help clean up our air, create jobs, balance the budget, make the biggest infrastructure investment in state history, and take power from the politicians and give it back to the people when it comes to our redistricting process and our primaries in California.
That’s policy. It requires working with the other side, not insulting them to win your next election, and I know it isn’t sexy to most people, but I love it when I can help make people’s lives better with policies, like I still do through my institute at USC, where we fight for clean air and stripping the power from the politicians who rig the system against the people.
Let me be honest with you: I don’t like either party right now. My Republicans have forgotten the beauty of the free market, driven up deficits, and rejected election results. Democrats aren’t any better at dealing with deficits, and I worry about their local policies hurting our cities with increased crime.
It is probably not a surprise that I hate politics more than ever, which, if you are a normal person who isn’t addicted to this crap, you probably understand.
I want to tune out.
But I can’t. Because rejecting the results of an election is as un-American as it gets. To someone like me who talks to people all over the world and still knows America is the shining city on a hill, calling America is a trash can for the world is so unpatriotic, it makes me furious.
And I will always be an American before I am a Republican.
That’s why, this week, I am voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
I’m sharing it with all of you because I think there are a lot of you who feel like I do. You don’t recognize our country. And you are right to be furious.
For decades, we’ve talked about the national debt. For decades, we’ve talked about comprehensive immigration reform that secures the border while fixing our broken immigration system. And Washington does nothing.
The problems just keep rolling, and we all keep getting angrier, because the only people that benefit from problems aren’t you, the people. The only people that benefit from this crap are the politicians who prefer having talking points to win elections to the public service that will make Americans’ lives better.
It is a just game to them. But it is life for my fellow Americans. We should be pissed!
But a candidate who won’t respect your vote unless it is for him, a candidate who will send his followers to storm the Capitol while he watches with a Diet Coke, a candidate who has shown no ability to work to pass any policy besides a tax cut that helped his donors and other rich people like me but helped no one else else, a candidate who thinks Americans who disagree with him are the bigger enemies than China, Russia, or North Korea - that won’t solve our problems.
It will just be four more years of bullshit with no results that makes us angrier and angrier, more divided, and more hateful.
We need to close the door on this chapter of American history, and I know that former President Trump won’t do that. He will divide, he will insult, he will find new ways to be more un-American than he already has been, and we, the people, will get nothing but more anger.
That’s enough reason for me to share my vote with all of you. I want to move forward as a country, and even though I have plenty of disagreements with their platform, I think the only way to do that is with Harris and Walz.
Vote this week. Turn the page and put this junk behind us.
And even if you disagree with me, vote, because that’s what we do as Americans. vote.org
