Rather than going into the cage to “work on your swing” everyday, mix in days to work on “trusting your swing”. This would mean you focus on committing to your approach, seeing the ball, and trusting that your body will do what needs to be done without conscious swing thoughts.

Lesson from today ⬇️
Are you a thermostat or a thermometer?
A thermostat creates change.
A thermometer changes based on the environment.
Do you control your surroundings or do you let your surroundings control you?!

This is Harvey Dorfman, a pioneer of mental skills work in MLB. If you haven’t read his books, you should. He changed the game and taught an entire generation of players how to think better. Sometimes you don’t need a new swing or delivery, you need a new perspective on the game.

“A good teacher can never be fixed in a routine. Each moment requires a sensitive mind that is constantly changing and constantly adapting.
A teacher must never impose this student to fit his favorite pattern. A good teacher protects his pupils from his own influence.

A teacher is never a giver of truth; he is a guide, a pointer to the truth that each student must find for himself. I am not teaching you anything. I just help you to explore yourself.” 🔥💥💯🚫🧢

TY- BUT!!! the teacher is Found When the Students are READY 2 Learn…Like the gutter bumpers in the bowling alley: merely guiding. Created an Environment- THEY DID the Work. Prepare2perform #P2p Bruce Lee says:

Never more, in the history of sport, has the buzz word “development” been tossed around. Seems most understands the importance of it, yet so many just give it lip service. If you’re focused on games more than quality practices, skill acquisition, IQ, etc. You’re missing the boat.
