You can’t ever underestimate the appeal of football. An 80 year age gap but for 90 mins these three have revelled in each other’s company. Apologies if you were one of the 20 ppl Grandad stopped on the walk home to introduce his “Bouncers!” #pvfc
Confirmation we have mercenaries on deck.
Mickey appears to have identified our soft and over generous belly. We persistently overpay for mediocrity.
The one constant in the nonsense is Matt Hancock. #pvfc
Question from the floor: Given how much of the budget was taken up, did no players want to leave in the summer that would allow us to have signed a striker?
MM: As a football club, we pay well - we've got to find someone to take them. Players are only going to leave if they can get the same contract and the same level of money. I genuinely believe though that this is a great squad - better than the one at Cheltenham that won the league when I was there.
Haven’t been tonight but my lads have & we’ve debriefed; tried to digest the feed online. I’m deflated.
MH out his depth. JB naive & lacks ability.
For the 1st time I genuinely question the Shanahans stewardship. ☹️ #pvfc
Kennedy was at the Blues until earlier this year. I presume his and MM’s paths would have crossed? Jobs for the boys and all that.
Sacking JB and appointing Kennedy would not inspire me one bit. #pvfc
Waste of a contract #pvfc
We can confirm that Tyreece Simpson has joined Southend United on loan until January.
Best of luck at Roots Hall, Tyreece! 🫡

Post match positives:- Credit to Brady for not giving it 10-15 minutes and getting two players on who made a massive difference 🫡 Figueroa & Dempsey were both sound that second half, both contributing to us getting a deserved point 👍🏻 Good showing from Garrity too! #pvfc

Head and shoulders the better team. A well deserved goal and worldie finish.
More of the same is a big ask given our 2nd half form this season but please Vale! #pvfc
The Cruzcampo is pouring well in the Hamil End. Something strange is afoot! Up the Vale! #pvfc
Moon solid. Dempsey screened the defence well. Bussell looked energetic and combative, he could have a part to play this season. Asamoah direct and lively. Felt the team pressed intelligently at times.
Green shoots? #pvfc
I’m somewhat reassured after digesting @MBaggers37 latest Substack.
Meat on the bones about the +ve role Moore played at Cheltenham & a hint at mitigation re: Shrews.
Haven’t read too much into his interview, he needs to be very cautious with his initial interactions #pvfc

Why is it people think its ok to constantly try to get introverts out of their comfort zone - but no one is ever trying to get extroverts to shut the fuck up for a little while?

And for a Sporting Director to stand a chance at Port Vale it needs to be someone with a track record of hardworking success.
A graduate from St George’s Park promising
sideways and backwards football and the Emperors New Clothes will not wash. #pvfc
