Nigerians hate widows, single moms & poor people. If you belong to any of the aforementioned demographs, the Lord is your strength.

Waiting on God can be difficult, especially when you’ve prayed about the same thing over and over again. May you find strength in the waiting and grace to keep trusting God without allowing the delay to steal your peace. 🙏

You gather a group of Muslims, ask them basic questions on salah The Fard, the Sunnah and the Mustahab of salah, they can't explain Ask them about sujud sahw(qabli and Baadi), they can't explain Basics of Zakat, no response Rules of menstruation, they don't know And other basic concepts But we are always here cross insulting ourselves and dragging complex issues that wouldn't add any value to us beside causing divisions and disruption in the Ummah May Allah help us

When I got to Lagos after NYSC, I started in bro's BQ in VI. After one year and I needed to get my own apartment, I ran to Langbasa jeje. Moving from VI to Langbasa was a downgrade, but I no send. He didn't start from VI himself.
Renting a house in a rich neighbourhood as a young middle-class earner is like trying to run a marathon with village people tied to your waist

He is 40 years old 🇧🇪 At 14, expelled from school for missing classes due to youth team duties, then dropped from the national team after clashing with the coach His mother and sister both battled cancer when he was in his early 20s. His mother died, sister survived. He played a match right after her funeral. Faced family eviction after parents divorce. Grew up in an area with drugs/gangs and admits he could have taken a "wrong path" Speaks 5+ languages fluently. Dutch, French, English, German, plus some Spanish/Italian Earned a Global MBA from Manchester Business School while captaining Man City, graduating with merit/distinction. Became Bayern Munich's first Black manager in Bundesliga history. And also first Bundesliga black manager. Married lifelong Man City fan Carla Higgs in 2011. They have three kids (daughter Sienna, sons Kai & Caleb) Scored a stunning 30 yard screamer vs Leicester that helped seal Man City's 2018/19 title. His teammates yelled at him not to shoot! 😂 I remember this very wellll Led Burnley to Championship title with record 101 points in his first managerial season using stylish, possession football. Won the Bundesliga title in his first season (2024/25) with games to spare Overall record at Bayern is over 100 games, 76 wins, 13 draws, 11 losses (76% win rate) His Bayern side scored 100 Bundesliga goals in just 28 matches this season. Vincent Kompany's parents taught him he'd need to work "twice as hard" as others due to his background . . . . Having a loved one live with cancer is very hard on the mind. Having 2? Insanely critical on anyone's mental health. And then the pain of loosing one of them (his mother) at a period where you are just getting into your career and life..... Is unimaginable . . You see, Vincent Kompany has gone through a very tough beginning. And it would be very hard to grasp that he would still have the mentality to pull off these achievements in his career as a player and coach . . Now for you reading this.... You have a past. I have a past. Vincent Kompany has his own past. And I particularly don't know how hard your past was, or it's mental implications on you But what I do know is that, your past is not above your willpower as an human. You can still grow the willpower to take active small steps consistently, to outgrow the negative impacts that your past has on you. Yes. You have to outgrow your past and it's hold on you. That's what Vincent Kompany did. He didn't forget his past or pretended it didn't happen. Instead, Vincent grew his mental state resilience and toughness, so that his past won't have any hold or control over the decisions he makes in the present, that will shape out his future. And to grow your own mental toughness, you just need to focus on 1-2 things that absolutely bring so much meaning and fulfilment to you. And then do it so long that it becomes your new "normal" (overriding your past hurt gradually with time) Yours can be your spouse, your business, your kids, parents, siblings or like Vincent's... Family, friend and football. . . He has the heart of a fighter and I know whatever health issues he's currently facing now, he will overcome, just as he did all through his life, till this moment 🩶 On behalf of everyone reading this, I wish Vincent Kompany a speedy full recovery. Get well soon brother. Your teammate just won the Ballon d'Or and everyone can't wait to have you back in the celebrations 🫂❤️ . . . ✍️ Vincent the Therapist
🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Vincent Kompany reportedly dislocated his shoulder after collapsing at Bayern Munich's training ground. Doctors have ruled out a heart attack and stroke but are still investigating the cause of his collapse, with seizures also reported. The Bayern manager remains hospitalized and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.

Let me benefit you guys with a profound principle in Islamic jurisprudence based on what these young boys did. The scholars established a clear rule that says: لا إيثار في القرب، فإنما التسابق. There is no giving preference to others when it comes to acts of worship. What does this principle mean? In worldly matters, stepping back and offering your share to someone else is a great virtue. For example, if there is only one portion of food left or a single vacant seat on a bus, Islam highly encourages you to offer it to your brother even if you need it. The Almighty praised the believers for this very trait in the Quran, when He said: ويؤثرون على أنفسهم ولو كان بهم خصاصة They give preference to others over themselves, even if they are in hardship But when it comes to acts that draw you closer to your Creator, the rule flips completely. You do not step back. You do not offer your spot in the first row of prayer to your friend. You do not give up your chance to call the Adhan out of false humility. It is a competition. You race for it. Did you see how those two young boys were running to the microphone to call the Adhan? That eagerness is how it should be when it comes to worship.  The Almighty said: فاستبقوا الخيرات So race to all that is good. He reinforced this mindset in another verse, saying: وفي ذلك فليتنافس المتنافسون And for this let the competitors compete. When an opportunity for reward presents itself, you grab it. Seeing that kind of youthful zeal and competitive spirit for the Adhan is the true strength of the faith. We are commanded to compete aggressively for the pleasure of Allah. Allah knows best.

Did you know that giving a newborn water before 6 months can actually be harmful? 🍼❌ Even on hot days, infants under 6 months do not need water. Exclusive breastfeeding is all they need. Here’s why offering water to a newborn can be dangerous 👇🧵

The mad woman's son who slaughtered our entire family. The man worked two jobs so his four children could eat before he did. Some months the light bill waited. Some months the roof leaked and they moved buckets at night. He never complained in front of them. One afternoon he heard shouting near the market dump. People had gathered around a metal bin. Inside it lay a newborn, still attached to the cord, barely moving. A woman in torn clothes stood a few meters away, rocking and talking to herself. The man pushed through the crowd. He looked at the child, then at the faces around him. No one stepped forward. He lifted the baby out himself. Someone clapped. Then more people clapped. He wrapped the child in his own shirt and walked home. His wife stood in the doorway when he arrived. She stared at the bundle and said nothing for a long time. That night she bathed the baby and fed him the little milk they had. She did not smile, but she did not turn him away either. Years passed. The boy grew beside the others. Same school fees when the money came. Same second-hand uniforms. Same scolding when he stayed out late. The man called all of them “my children” in the same voice. When the boy finished secondary school, a stranger stopped him outside the compound. The man said he had been in the crowd that day twenty-one years ago. Your dad is not as good as you think, so highly of him, He told the boy exactly how he had been found. He told him the parents who raised him were not his blood. He told him that when the real children grew older, the land, the small shop, and the house would go to them first. “You will be asked to leave,” the stranger said. “They will not say it with anger. They will say it with kindness. That is worse.” The boy walked home slowly. He sat on the step and watched his younger sister sweep the yard. She waved at him the way she always did. For weeks he said little. At night he lay awake and counted the things the family owned. The plot of land behind the house. The two plots the man had bought years ago. The small provision store that now stayed open till evening. One evening he met his eldest brother at a bar after work. They drank the way brothers sometimes do. The brother laughed about a girl he liked. By morning the brother was gone. The bar owner was taken in. Nothing linked the boy to the cup that had been shared. Three months later the eldest sister died in her hostel. She had been writing her final thesis in medicine. The family gathered and cried until their voices cracked. The boy sat with them and held his mother’s hand. Investigators asked questions and left with empty notebooks. The second brother died on the road weeks after that. A motorcycle. Wet weather. The report said loss of control. Again the questions came. Again they found nothing that pointed at the boy. Five months passed. The last sister went to meet someone who had promised her a better job. She did not return. This time the police held the boy for three days. They released him when the evidence stayed thin. His mother stopped speaking for almost a week. His father sat outside at night and did not come in until dawn. The parents grew thin. The man stopped going to the second job. The woman stopped opening the shop. Neighbors brought food. The boy accepted it with both hands and thanked them. When the man died, the boy was the one who arranged the burial. When the woman followed months later, he was the one who signed the papers. The land, the shop, and the house became his. People said he had suffered enough. They said the remaining child should not be left with nothing. He still lives in the house. Sometimes he stands where the bin used to be and looks at the ground. No one has ever asked him what he thinks about on those days. The records stay closed. The family name stays on the papers. And the children who once shared the same table are only names the ...
