#GrayZoneWarfare Isn't An Extraction Shooter 1️⃣Back in Update 0.1, we said Gray Zone Warfare wasn’t an extraction shooter. Why? Because you don’t leave the map—you’re in a persistent world. No time limits, no raid timers, no vendor screens in a separate menu. You load into Lamang while others are already playing. The world doesn’t wait for you. 2️⃣With Update 0.2, ironically enough, we called it the first open-world extraction shooter focused on realism. Why? Because people were extracting—flying out with loot, heading back to base—and the little birds were a big part of that loop. But this upcoming update changes things again. Ironically, we’re back to confidently saying: this isn’t an extraction shooter. 3️⃣Why? Because you're not heading back to base nearly as often. Tasks can be turned in from the field. Your time is spent moving from COP to COP, POI to POI. The world encourages staying out longer, discovering more, encountering more PvP—and staying immersed. You're not jumping in and out of isolated raids. You're living in this world. It’s a tactical MMOFPS. It’s persistent. It’s dangerous. It’s accessible—whether you're new or a seasoned vet.
