When I first moved to Lagos, it was basically the same job I was doing in Benin but a different employer this time, my salary offer was so high(in my eyes) like it was 5 times what I was earning in my previous employment.
I told my uncle who helped with the job my observation, he said don't worry, I told you there are better opportunities here.
After the first 2 weeks, I found out why, and till now, I haven't forgiven my uncle for not giving me heads up.
My friend and I started chatting around 5:30am today, she told me she was on her way to work already. She stays in lagos. I asked why so early, since resumption time is 9am. She said her aim is to get to work by 8am, so she can sleep till 9am and start the day's work. Only to get to work at 8:35am.
She had to take, 4 different cabs to get to her office, because there wasn't a direct means from where she stays.
That's not life.
