My friends on X, I need ur help For two years, I've given everything I have to other people's children, building schools, keeping classrooms running, making sure Gaza's students still had someone showing up for them. I would do it all again. But I've never asked for anything for my own family until now, and that hasn't been easy to sit with. We've been displaced more than once. We've lost people. And right now, the work I do for others doesn't cover what my own wife and children need, a roof, mainly, something steady in the middle of everything that isn't. I'm not asking out of despair. I'm asking because after two years of carrying this for my community, I've learned that asking for help isn't a failure, it's what makes the rest of it possible. This is for my family: chuffed.org/project/193426-g… If you can give, thank you. If you can only share it, that matters too, it's one more way of saying we're not carrying this alone.

From Gaza to the Summit of Kilimanjaro 🇵🇸❤️ Some people do more than climb mountains; they carry dreams, voices, and hope with them all the way to the top. To Mr. Abu Fella, Mr. Saleem, Mr. Ibn Hattuta, and Mr. Mustafa, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for carrying the voices and dreams of the children of Gaza Great Minds School to the highest peak in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. You carried more than a Palestinian flag and a message. You carried the dreams of children who continue to learn, dream, and believe in a better future despite everything they have endured. You made their voices travel beyond borders and reach places they may only dream of seeing one day. What you did means more to us than words can express. You reminded our children that their dreams matter, that their voices deserve to be heard, and that there are people across the world who care deeply about them. Thank you for climbing for Gaza, for our children, and for every dream that refuses to be broken. We are so grateful to have you as part of our journey, and we will always cherish what you have done for us. A special thank to Ms. Nariman, whose meetings helped our students share their dreams with the Kilimanjaro climbing team and make their voices part of this unforgettable journey. You reached the summit, but you also reached our hearts. ❤️🇵🇸 With love and endless gratitude from the children and team of Gaza Great Minds School. @ibnhattuta @prof_nariman @aboflah @mostafasalameh @masahatx #GazaGreatMinds #Wewillreadagain

A Teacher’s Experience at Gaza Great Minds Ms. Ikhlas Halles, an Arabic language teacher at Gaza Great Minds, shares her experience at the school, highlighting the dedication of teachers, the administration, and educational supervisors who continue to support students and keep education going despite the difficult circumstances. Behind every lesson, however, are stories that go far beyond the classroom. 💔 Ms. Ikhlas recalls an emotional moment when a child burst into tears because he longed to see his father, who was martyred during the war, and return to his home. His tears reflected the profound pain carried by so many children in Gaza, reminding us that every child comes to the classroom with feelings, fears, and dreams that deserve to be understood. At Gaza Great Minds, education goes beyond books and lessons. It means standing beside children through their pain, listening to their fears, and creating a space where they can learn, feel supported, and continue to dream of a better future. 💛📚 👇🏼👇🏼gazagreatminds.org/stories #GazaGreatMinds #Wewillreadagain

For those who care: Gaza’s markets are still stocked with calorie-dense foods of little nutritional value, such as soft drinks, chocolates, sweets, and crisps. While these items remain visible on market stalls, they do nothing to address the population's core dietary needs. The acute shortage centers entirely on basic staples: wheat flour and bread. Because shipments of wheat flour have been blocked from entering the strip for several days, bakeries are now on the verge of shutting down completely.

Today at @gazagreatminds , we gathered the students for cinema day and watched Tangled. Hearing their laughter, seeing their wide eyes glued to the screen, and feeling the room fill with pure, unbothered joy made my heart so full. Sometimes, the simplest moments, sitting together, sharing stories, and laughing until your cheeks hurt, are the ones that matter most. An unforgettable, truly wonderful day with these bright souls.

A Beautiful Step, A Shared Joy 🤍🧕🏻 Within just one week, 12 students at Gaza Great Minds began wearing the hijab, embracing it as an expression of their faith and Islamic identity. In Islam, hijab is more than a piece of clothing; it is an act of worship and a commitment to modesty, rooted in faith and obedience to Allah. For Muslim girls and women, wearing the hijab can be a meaningful expression of their beliefs and their connection to their religion. Their teachers supported them with love and encouragement, sharing their happiness and celebrating this beautiful step together. At Gaza Great Minds, we believe that education is more than lessons and books. It is also about nurturing values, strengthening identity, and creating a supportive environment where students can grow in knowledge, faith, and confidence. 🌿 Kindness and Respect for Our Parents 🌿 Allah says in the Holy Qur’an: “And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you be kind to parents.” (Surah Al-Isra, 23) In this classroom session, Ms. Aya helped our students explore the importance of honoring their parents, expressing gratitude, and showing love and respect through their everyday actions. From kind words and warm smiles to helping at home, our students learned that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference in their parents’ lives. 💚 At Gaza Great Minds, we believe that education is not only about knowledge but also about nurturing good manners, strong values, and compassionate hearts. #GazaGreatMinds #Wewillreadagain

No man is like a father, and no father is like my dad. He was there every time I needed a hand, like a light at the end of the tunnel, like a full moon deep in the dark sky. I miss you, my dad. I miss your jokes and your smile; I miss your touch and your voice. I miss you waking me up every morning for school and getting me ready. I miss sharing secrets with you that no one else knew. I miss the times you brought me special chocolate during exams. I miss your care when I was sick. I miss the taste of the lemonade you made just for me. It is the second year without you, habibi, since an Israeli sniper shot you and the moon vanished. There are so many things I want to share with you. I wish you were here so I could tell you how Omar has grown, heading off to KG2 all by himself. I wish you could hear him speaking his first English words, and yes, he struggles with the "r" sound just like you and me. I think it’s in our DNA. I want to tell you that Kenan jumps around all day; now I finally understand why you were so worried about me doing parkour when I was a kid. And yes, Ibrahim looks just like you. He even gets nosebleeds like you did. I see you every time I look at him and call his name. We are fine, Dad, don't worry. Mom misses you so much; she tries to hide it, but so many nights her tears give her away. Your children are men and fathers now. Dad, I am so sorry I couldn't see you on the last day of your life. Wallahi, I did everything I could to reach the hospital, but the drones were shooting anyone who moved in the neighborhood. Please forgive me.

As psychological torture, Israeli officers told Palestinian detainee Shadi Abu Sido from Gaza that his wife and children had been bombed and killed. He spent his detention believing his entire family was dead—only to be stunned upon his release to find them alive.

Israeli airstrikes are pummelling Gaza right now. Sources on the ground report that at least three houses were struck in Gaza City. The situation can't get any worse, as some of the social media posts from Gazans I've just read are pleas to Israel to "show them mercy."
