About an hour ago, a B-1B Lancer long-range strategic bomber took off from RAF Fairford, UK. Notably, its afterburners were turned on, this could indicate that it was loaded with bombs, although they often take off this way during training sorties as well.

The B-1s were working Amsterdam radar on UHF 387.600. This frequency is paired with 123.705 and 124.880 and the transmissions are simulcasted.Hand-overs to a different sector are done internally on UHF and are not transmitted on the VHF frequencies.
