What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

When the Democrats start telling Jews you are “morally obligated” to vote for Abdul El-Sayed, they are admitting two things:
1 - El-Sayed is an antisemite since they are asking us to look past this fact.
2 - His opponent Mike Rogers is not an antisemite, because if he ever said anything remotely antisemitic, that would be the line, not “you are morally obligated to vote for the man who hates you.”
Can you believe the audacity?
A former Obama aide lectures Jewish Americans about their “moral obligation” to support Abdul El-Sayed Inshallah, a politician who backs an arms embargo against Israel and has faced scrutiny over alleged Muslim Brotherhood connections.
Imagine telling Jews they have a moral duty to support a candidate whose positions they believe threaten Israel's security.
Jewish Americans owe no politician their votes, their silence or their obedience.

When the Nazi threat was rising, many who now claim Israel’s defence has nothing to do with local elections in other countries would have dismissed the persecution of Jews as none of our concern. Isolationism has always been a favourite cover for antisemitism. Vote wisely.

ALT Wide dark navy banner graphic with bold white text reading “Local elections are about Israel.” Below it in smaller white text: “Security has never been ‘someone else’s problem.’” At the bottom in muted gray text: “Persecution never ends with the Jews.” A small, faint “@Moral_Politics” appears in the bottom right. Subtle dotted world map on the left and abstract security/ballot icons on the right.

When I received a message from a former Trump administration official in August, asking me to meet with his team at a prestigious think-tank, I never could have imagined I was conversing with an Iranian intelligence agent.
It was the start of a two-month sting - described by ASIO chief Mike Burgess as "sophisticated and targeted" - that ended with the notorious Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps gaining access to my personal emails and details in a major security breach.
The message from a former senior Trump administration contact I forged through my Wuhan reporting, who has a prominent profile with hundreds of thousands of followers, came on August 18 this year.
I had worked with him on my investigation into the origins of Covid-19. I trusted him and had met him in person during one of his visits to Australia.
Unbeknownst to either of us, his genuine X account had been infiltrated by an Iranian operative, using the ‘delegate feature’ on X, which gives a third party access to manage and operate your account.

An IRGC cyber espionage campaign targeting pro-Israel figures, this in Australia. It’s naive to think they’re not doing this.

🚨BREAKING: Penny Wong BACKFLIPS after Palestine BREAKS statehood deal with Australia.
The Foreign Minister admitted at Senate estimates that Labor's conditions for recognising Palestine carry NO consequences.
Even if the Palestinian Authority NEVER holds the promised elections, NEVER ends payments to terrorists and their families, and Hamas is NEVER excluded from a future Palestinian state, Australia's recognition will STILL stand.

FACT: The annual funding Israel receives from the US amounts to less than one-tenth of 1% of the federal budget. Less than 1/10th of 1%.
FACT: That annual funding would cover only a few hours of federal health care spending. A few hours.
Yet politicians who specialize in scapegoating would have you believe that Israel is responsible for America’s affordability crisis.
Like every form of scapegoating before it, it is a dangerous lie.

Ode to the Israeli Election:
English Translation
My homeland, Oh homeland,
Poor one of mine, wretched and bitter,
The king has no home, the queen has no crown —
Only one in the world has sung your praise,
While all the rest speak your shame and reproach.
So I'll wander, and wander,
from courtyard to courtyard
To sing your shining poverty
To sing your glowing meagerness

Today, Israel votes. Iran is watching.
Hamas is watching. Hezbollah is watching. And the world is watching something rather beautiful: after the genocide of October 7, Israelis return not to bullets, but to ballots. This is Israel’s first national election since the Hamas Muslim Brotherhood terrorist attack of October 7, 2023.
Jews. Muslims. Arabs. Christians. Druze. Baháʼís. Atheists.
Different prayers. Different histories. Different politics. One ballot box.
They will argue. Of course they will. They are Israelis. Arguing could practically qualify as a national sport.
But today, they choose.
Whatever the Israeli people decide, respect it. It is their country, their democracy, and their choice.
Democracy is not: I respect the people only when they elect my side.
Democracy is accepting that your neighbour’s ballot weighs exactly as much as yours, even when you hate what they wrote on it.
After October 7, Hamas tried to write Israel’s future with blood. Today, Israelis write it with a pen. That difference is everything. May Israelis choose their future freely. And may the West have the maturity to respect what they choose.
