The way Sony is going I don’t see its gaming arm surviving into the eighth generation.
The best thing that can happen for Sony is for them to lose their massive market share.
If market share was more balanced Sony would no longer be able to do and get away with the decisions they are making.
They would no longer be able to disregard their loyal customers like they have.
I hope Xbox plays this right and takes a very large portion of Sony’s customers.
It’s the only thing that might save them.
Sony dropping the collaboration with Kojima for Physint is probably one of the biggest fuck ups they’ve done.
Sony is on a major losing streak this year.
They haven’t released any top class first party games this generation.
They are phasing out physical games (this I think was always inevitable).
Their live service attempts were failures.
If Xbox can play this right going into the next generation they could easily take the crown for Sony.

PHYSINT is an important project both to me personally and to KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS. Determined to keep the project alive, we have spent the last three months searching tirelessly for a new partner. In the course of seeking advice and pursuing negotiations with people across many fields, we found in XBOX a partner with whom we share a common vision for the future, and we have decided to team up with them once again. Please rest assured that development of PHYSINT, our genre-defining action-espionage title, is ongoing and will continue moving forward.
So I decided to watch the Nintendo direct just now.
Holy fuck why does every game look so crap. Blurry, terrible tessellation, stepping, low res textures, frame dropping, low detail and foliage or graphics with literally no detail at all just brightly coloured mess.
What the hell is going on with Nintendo?
The Switch 2 can’t be that bad can it?
