My "Beyond 'Q'" series is now complete.
I hope it will be considered a comprehensive review of how QAnon evolved after Q & continued to cause harm.
If you have time, I truly hope you are able to read all 3 parts.

You can find me on Bluesky at @alkapdc.bsky.social.

ALT X (formerly Twitter) is releasing new Terms of Service effective January 15, 2026. Media Matters for America does not accept these new terms. You can still find us elsewhere: Bluesky, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, and of course, at mediamatters.org, where we are still full speed ahead calling out right-wing media misinformation.
Some in the far-right have been sharing memes based on George Floyd's murder to mock the fatal shooting of Renee Good by a ICE officer.

During an "election integrity" chat on a podcast last month, conspiracy theorist Wayne Allyn Root suggested he was behind Trump saying he'd pardon Pete Rose & was "the guy who ... created the ideas of no tax on Social Security & no tax on overtime & sold them to" Trump.

Nick Fuentes on his show the day after Christmas credited social media platforms & their supposed policy reversals as "the number one thing" for his alleged recent rise in popularity, mentioning platforms like Instagram & YouTube specifically. mediamatters.org/nick-fuente…
A key figure with the false conspiracy theory connecting Venezuela to false 2020 election fraud has been conspiracy theorist Patrick Byrne.
In October, Byrne on a podcast said "there’s never been as necessary a war since the Civil War, that we go down & take care of Venezuela."
MAGA influencers are suggesting Trump overthrew Maduro as revenge for Venezuela stealing the 2020 election -- and he's signaling they are right. mediamatters.org/foxdominion…
Between Christmas & today, Trump shared images of & links to posts from QAnon figure "The SCIF" at least 8 times to push false election fraud claims.
Trump also shared an image from another QAnon figure to connect The SCIF's election fraud claims to Trump's Venezuela actions.
Plandemic conspiracy theorist Mikki Willis in a video announced that he'll be speaking alongside HHS ACIP member Robert Malone for what its site calls a "Keep Vaccinations Optional Hawaii Island Tour."
Malone has previously said he's gotten "counsel" from Willis.
Robert Malone, who RFK Jr. has now appointed to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, suggested in a 2023 podcast appearance with Plandemic conspiracy theorist Mikki Willis that he's gotten "counsel" from Willis & was "very grateful" for that. mediamatters.org/media/40259…
Andrew Torba, the CEO of Gab, a social media platform known as a haven for white nationalists, falsely wrote this week that Ohio GOP gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy — who was born in Cincinnati, Ohio — "will never be an American."
Trump, after amplifying QAnon-promoting accounts on Twitter more than 300 times before he was suspended from the platform, has returned to doing so on a different platform, Truth Social. mediamatters.org/twitter/fbi…

Some in the far-right, particularly in the QAnon community, have defended Trump's post attacking Rob Reiner in the wake of his death, calling Reiner a "degenerate" "deranged Bozo who likely has some skeletons in the closet," & claiming without evidence that he was a pedophile.

Far-right conspiracy theorist Ann Vandersteel, who has previously promoted QAnon, Pizzagate, & sovereign citizen ideology, said she was on the same flight as Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell a few days ago, posting a photo of themselves together.
Yesterday, on his podcast on a QAnon-affiliated network, a QAnon figure known as "GMoney" told Trump-supporting investor Grant Cardone in an interview that "I don't pay my taxes" & "I don't file my federal taxes." He also asked Cardone if he's "ever asked Trump about Q."
In a podcast interview yesterday, conspiracy theorist Patrick Byrne urged military officers to "please kill ... for us citizens" "officers, generals, or colonels who try to get you to take part in a color revolution," claiming he meant it in a "theoretical sense."
New:
Election denier Patrick Byrne, who has ties to the QAnon community, claimed in a Twitter/X Space that he's conducted "illegal activity ... hacking the government of Venezuela" & used materials from it before "a magistrate in Washington, D.C."

Rumble's now featured as an "editor pick" a video titled in part "Adrenochrome, Time Travel, Wormholes, Harvesting Farms, JFK Junior, Human Trafficking, Australia etc!," which features a person claiming "adrenochrome sent me into the future" & found out Trump worked with JFK Jr.
New from me:
-Lizard people
-QAnon
-9/11 Trutherism
-Flat Earth
Rumble's source code calls its “editor picks” section the “absolute real best of" the platform, but an ongoing @mmfa review found that the section repeatedly features conspiracy theories.

Gregg Phillips explicitly lauded the QAnon community & partnered with the QAnon community in 2022 to target an election software company.
He's one of the most significant figures ever for QAnon's political influence, & he now will have a FEMA position. mediamatters.org/voter-fraud…
The Trump administration has tapped a man who has repeatedly claimed that millions of people voted illegally in the 2016 presidential election to be one of the most important officials at the Federal Emergency Management Agency. wapo.st/4iLzbfW
Respectfully, to other reporters:
If your coverage of Gregg Phillips' appointment to FEMA does not mention his extensive past relationship with the QAnon community, then you're leaving out a significant part of his background for readers/viewers.
