Exactly what I've been saying: acknowledging the artificiality and manipulation of the film medium within the film made the film MORE honest, not less.
Nathan Fielder addresses his unconventional doc techniques in 'You Can See Everything' at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival's THR-moderated Docs to Watch panel: "This project’s different than the other ones, but I feel like the process of making it was just a process of including everything that needed to be included to make it as honest as possible." hollywoodreporter.com/movies…

Depression is so silly because it’s making me feel like a failure who can’t do anything when I know, categorically, that that’s not true. Like, stop lying to my face???

I made a mistake. I should have known that the correct number of couples to root for on a season of Love Is Blind is zero.

Anyway we lost HP but AVPM remains smarter than it ever had any right to be AND that woman doesn't make any money off of it.

To understand my social group in 2010 you need to know that when Darren Criss was cast on Glee (as an unknown to most of the world at the time) I got SEVERAL sobbing voicemails bc my friends sat at the perfect, unsettling intersection of AVPM early adopters and unhinged Gleeks

So abortion is bad but a cop can shoot and kill a one year old baby named Kohen Wiley because his mother was suspected of shoplifting diapers. She did not by the way. Where is the pro-life outrage? I’ll wait…forever.

Every year on Love Is Blind they tour each other’s apartments and someone goes “YOU DONT HAVE ANY FOOD IN YOUR FRIDGE?!” as if it says something about their potential partner and I scream “THEY’VE BEEN OUT OF TOWN FOR WEEKS WHY WOULD THEY HAVE PERISHABLES IN THEIR FRIDGE?!”

You guys! We’re only 2K away from full funding for post production on my next short film! Anyone wants to help us get this last half? We’re so close! Or tag someone who can help get us to the finish line of making a movie! gofund.me/310b5195f

Anyway I really do wonder what Jen Shah and Elizabeth Holmes talked about in there

You Can See Everything spoiler ahead: GREAT as AS is, she can never truly nail portraying EH bc EH has this spooky alien quality that is only nailable by completely untethering yourself from reality and floating through the murky ether

Like Amanda could never look haunted enough because she exists in a tangible and logical emotional world, whereas Elizabeth has devoted her life and entire being to obfuscating to the point of catapulting her own soul out into the void

I don’t like getting too in the weeds about a film that just came out, but I have some general things to say: YCSE is not asking “did she do it?” but rather “why can’t she admit she did it? what kind of person is that?”

I'd like to see a documentary about Nathan Fielder focused on the period where he was simultaneously making a film about Elizabeth Holmes AND learning how to fly a 747 AND making THE CURSE.
