GOLD might have slipped from her hands, but Alex Eala has given us more than enough reasons to be proud. 🇵🇭❤️
You could see how tired she was. Her body had already been pushed through match after match, but until the very last point, she was still fighting. Still chasing every ball. Still refusing to simply give in.
And that’s exactly why Filipinos love Alex beyond the wins, the rankings, and the medals.
She could focus entirely on her professional career, but every time she gets the opportunity to represent the Philippines, you can see just how much wearing that flag means to her. Her patriotism has always been one of the most beautiful parts of her journey.
Today may not have ended with the GOLD we were all hoping for, but there is absolutely no shortage of pride here.
You fought until your body had almost nothing left to give and you did it carrying PHILIPPINES on your chest. 🇵🇭
Thank you for fighting for the flag, Alex.
The medal will always be something we celebrate, but the heart you show while fighting for our country is what makes us love you even more.
Mabuhay ka, Alex! We’re heartbroken with you but proud na proud kami sa’yo. 🇵🇭❤️🔥🎾

The fatigue issue must be resolved immediately. That Doubles match she signed-up for really hurt her quest for the #AsianGames2026 GOLD and #LA28 Ticket.
