Patrick Stewart attended drama school thanks to his local government council. Taxpayers paid for Stewart’s acting education, which is exactly how it should be! Fund the arts and fund education!

I looked into this and apparently the judge who let him go free has a history of giving sex offenders lenient sentences. There was even a 2025 petition made to have him removed from his position after he allowed a man who admitted to sexually abusing a 6 year old to not have to register as a sex offender and suspended his sentence to just probation. Prior to that he allowed another man who plead guilty to raping a teen to also not have to register as a sex offender AND suspended his sentence to just probation as well. There are apparently SIX different cases where he has done this not including this case. His name is Judge Michael Whyte and these are the case numbers where he has allowed men who have raped and abused children to go free. CR10-23-03237 CR10-21-09722 CR10-21-06045 CR10-23-03237 CR10-23-03819 CR10-24-08091 And here is the phone number to the courthouse where he works so you can leave a nice message letting them know how you feel about them employing this man :) 208-742-1673 citizens in Idaho need to be made aware of this! Here’s a link to their website and his photo! Posted by Idaho Business Review. lemhicountyidaho.org/228/Cou…

When I think of Patrick Stewart, it's not Captain Picard or Professor X that springs to mind. It's this quote. May he rest in peace.

🤯🤯 • 🤯🤯 • 🤯🤯 Want to hear something that might blow your mind? Public schools are required to report child sex abuse, but religious organizations and religious schools are legally exempt from reporting because of the clergy-penitent confession loophole, in 33 states.
#BREAKING— #Texas A student walked into the principal’s office and reported a teacher for alleged sexual misconduct involving multiple girls. Days later that student was dead by suicide. Police found the audio recording of the conversation on his phone. The principal is now in jail charged with a felony for failing to report it—with intent to conceal. Here’s what actually happened in Leonard ISD. Leonard High School Principal #JansenTrotter, 41, was arrested Tuesday and booked into Fannin County Jail on a state jail felony: failure to report with intent to conceal under Texas Senate Bill 571. Under the 2025 law, a principal must report to the superintendent within 48 hours of becoming aware of evidence that an employee abused a student or engaged in a romantic/sexual relationship with one. Failing to do so with intent to conceal is a crime. According to police and reporting, the male student’s parents discovered the recording after his death earlier this month. In it he (student) told Jansen Trotter about the alleged misconduct by a teacher. The principal later denied knowing about the allegations until he was confronted with the recording. The longtime band director, #ScottJohnson, 59, is under investigation by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and has been on administrative leave. Jansen Trotter, hired as principal at the start of this school year (previously an assistant principal in Sherman ISD), has also been placed on leave. The TEA is reviewing his certificate. This is not a one-off. In the last fiscal year the TEA opened 283 investigations into administrators failing to report misconduct—an average of 24 a month. That number is already rising rapidly! How is this even possible? The law was written to close “pass the trash” loopholes. In this case a student came forward, documented it, and still the system appears to have failed him before he died. Parents: if a principal can hear this, deny it, and face only a state jail felony, what does that say about student safety in your district? Full reporting here: texasscorecard.com/local/leo… Call or text 988 (the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) anytime for free, confidential support. You can also chat at 988lifeline.org. It’s available 24/7 for anyone in crisis, emotional distress, or worried about someone else. If you’re in immediate danger, call 911. #TrueCrime

So help me, God, not one red cent of taxpayer money should bail these people out. Not one penny.
🚨 CONGRESS IS NOW DISCUSSING WHAT HAPPENS IF MAJOR AI COMPANIES GO BANKRUPT. House Democrats have introduced a resolution calling for AI companies to receive ZERO taxpayer funded bailouts if they collapse. AI spending by Amazon, Microsoft, Alphabet, Oracle, Meta and SpaceX is expected to top $7 trillion from 2025 to 2030, per S&P. Big Tech is expected to borrow a record $420 billion in 2027 alone. Now, lawmakers are discussing what should happen if those massive investments go wrong. The resolution calls for: • No taxpayer funded bailouts for failing AI companies. • No emergency loans, cash injections or debt guarantees from the Fed, Treasury or FDIC. • Failed AI companies to go through normal bankruptcy proceedings. • Executives responsible for reckless or illegal conduct to face accountability. • Government support to protect workers and retirement savings instead of corporate executives. The resolution is not legally binding, and it does not mean lawmakers know an AI crash is coming. But it shows the risk is now being taken seriously in Congress. And there is a reason to pay attention. AI companies are spending enormous amounts of money today based on expectations of future demand and profits. If those expectations fail, the damage could spread beyond AI companies to banks, lenders and investors financing the expansion.

BREAKING: House Democrats have preemptively introduced a resolution to stop the federal government from bailing out AI companies in the event of the industry collapsing. The bill says these companies should be subjected to the ordinary bankruptcy process.

Just last month, DoorDash couldn’t seem to find the money to pay their deliveristas — until our administration forced them to give back $131M+ in stolen wages and penalties. This week, they’ve managed to find $17 billion to acquire one of their main competitors. Corporate consolidation means higher prices, harsher exploitation, and greater economic inequality for New Yorkers. We’ve stood up to these giants before. That doesn’t stop now.

Well, yesterday was a bit of a shitshow. I fell out of my wheelchair, hurt my foot and landed rather spectacularly on my arse. Not ideal, but hardly worthy of a medical emergency…. except less than ten minutes later, I was unconscious and being blue-lighted into hospital. I know. Whopper. It wasn’t because of my foot, mind you… Nooo. It was my adrenal glands. I have something called #AddisonsDisease which means those two little glands above your kidneys don’t produce cortisol. And if you didn’t know, cortisol is rather bloody important. As in, you literally cannot stay alive without it. So… I take steroids every day to do the job my adrenal glands have apparently resigned from.  The trouble is, when healthy people get injured, ill or stressed, their bodies automatically produce extra cortisol. Mine? Nope… nothing. “You’re on your own, love.” Aaaand suddenly a little tumble becomes a life-threatening adrenal crisis. Blood pressure plummets, consciousness disappears, and without an emergency hydrocortisone injection, things can go very badly wrong rather quickly. But here’the really upsetting part. The life-saving injection we need to use, isn’t ready to use! Nay nay nay… no speedy pen, or pre-filled syringes here. You have to open a little glass ampoule of sterile water, draw the liquid into a syringe, inject it into a separate vial containing powdered hydrocortisone, gently mix and WAIT until the powder dissolves, then draw the medication back into the syringe. After that, you need to fit the appropriate IM needle, prepare the injection site and inject it deep into a muscle, usually your thigh. All whilst vomiting, shaking, and usually losing consciousness.  I mean, who on earth thought that was a sensible idea?! I’ve got to a point now, where I’ve resorted to preparing syringes in advance, despite knowing the risks, and the reduce efficacy… because something is better than nothing. And let’s face it… when you’re partially unconscious, your chemistry skills are somewhat limited. All joking aside though, the sobering reality of this is that research suggests around 1 in 200 people with adrenal insufficiency die from adrenal crisis each and every year. A statistic that should enrage us. I’m not telling you this for sympathy. I’m telling you because we desperately need as much awareness to campaign for safer emergency medication that’s actually easy to administer in an emergency. I was lucky yesterday. I got the treatment I needed, and I’m still here to have a good moan about it. But not everyone gets to tell their story afterwards. I wonder how many people have died with everything they needed to survive sitting right beside them. #AddisonsDisease @AddisonsUK

OK, I'll take the bait and answer this as if it were a good-faith question. First of all: blackface is mockery from the outside, with a long history as a tool of racist oppression. Transition is living as who you are. But why are there trans people but no "transracial" people? Because people have an internal sense of their sex, but nobody has an innate sense of their skin colour. For most people, their sense of their sex matches their body and they never have to think about it. For a small minority it doesn't. Some feel they're in the wrong body. Others just feel deeply unwell and don't know why until they live as their real gender for the first time. I get why, as a cis person who feels no mismatch with either your sex or your race, these concepts might seem comparable. But they aren't, one exists (and has a long history of clinical and neurological evidence supporting its existance), the other doesn't, it's as simple as that Even if you set aside the research on gender dysphoria, there's a fundamental difference between being transsexual and "transracial" that explains why one would be "socially acceptable" and the other wouldn't: intergenerational oppression. Racism compounds across generations through redlining, stolen wealth, and worse housing and schools. That accumulated harm doesn't go anywhere. Someone magically turned Black might face the day-to-day racism (harassment, job discrimination), but they wouldn't carry the generational disadvantage that scholarships, affirmative action and reparations exist to counteract. Claiming that would be appropriation. A trans woman who transitions isn't escaping or costuming anything. She faces misogyny, with transphobia on top. I get catcalled, talked over in meetings and sexually assaulted. The social ills that hit cis women hit trans women too.
Can someone explain to me how my having an issue with this is ‘hateful views’ ? If a man wears womanface and woman tits, skin walking women is fine. 💅 If I black up my face? That’s offensive? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
