Microservices is when groups of people in your organization don’t want to talk to each other

Great line from the CTO of Proton. I’m paraphrasing and stealing it :
Your job is not to use agents to help you write code. Your job is to lead the agents to help them write code.
A good trio for the letter "V":
• Vitess – Massive, horizontal scaling for MySQL
• Vald – Distributed vector search built for AI/ML workloads
• Valkey – High-performance key-value caching
Relational, vector, or cache all you need to have
Better that weekly feed to discover the CNCF landscape? I get two pr per day to review now
But with 9xx tools, I can't review all of them in a year even less by the end of this year 😞

We have entered the skills overload, I have so many registered that I started doubting Claude is using the right one when it matters

If a dependency saves 20 lines of code, I’d reconsider it now that agents can write those lines.
If it saves years of bug fixes and edge cases, I’m keeping it.
Strangely enough code style guide have gone out of fasion but AI agent really need one, to stop bad patterns to spread in your code base.
With AI coding agent you must set you quality bare hight otherwise code turns into spaghetti in no time.
We are now cycling to the letter V. Which tools do you know in the CNCF landscape start with the letter V?

The golden age of tech writing is over it has been ages I haven't looked for a new gig, neither the drive nor the aboundance
I feel I have less the drive to dive deep into a topic. Before I would spend days hyper focus on a side project, now I just brush the idea and try to delegate 🤖, but it is not taking me anywhere.
Having AI agents working form me means I actually spend more time tech watching.

CNCF tools starting with U are under the spotlight for the next two weeks

Probably the best contender for this week's CNCF landscape tools, starting with U.
