SPC UPDATE -- All of the Metro is now included in the Level 2 risk area for severe storms tomorrow (Monday). Expect bands & clusters of storms with a severe wind threat & a brief spin-up potential into Monday night. @fox4kc
Today's weather is quiet & cloudy but it will become active again tomorrow. Higher gusts and PM/eve. storms are expected. Odds are, there will be multiple bands of storms moving SW to NE with heavy rain & possibly severe wind gusts. A quick spin-up is possible! @fox4kc
Heads up for Monday! A strong storm is coming to the Plains, meaning more wind (30-40+ mph gusts), a severe storm chance & more rain to start the work week. Severe wind & hail threats return in the afternoon, evening & overnight hours, especially SW of KC. @fox4kc

Happy Sunday! Gameday is back in KC and it should be a great day for the Chiefs with highs in the mid/upper 60s. It'll be great for anything outside today. Go Chiefs! @fox4kc

8:38 PM -- After one round of storms rolled through the Northland, another severe warning returns for the west side. More heavy rain & 60 mph gusts possible into KCK once again. @fox4kc
8:10 PM -- Wind gust reports in the Northland were around the 60-75 mph. From Weatherby Lake through Gladstone to Liberty, there's likely a lot of other areas of wind damage. So far, 30,000+ people here are without power. @fox4kc
6:52 PM -- Winds in the center of this severe-warned storm are packing a punch around 60-70 mph over Leavenworth County. This is pushing east so heads up KCK & KCMO to strong gusts through 7:30-8 PM! @fox4kc
5:22 PM -- New severe t-storm warning with 60 mph gusts & quarter-size hail for Topeka. This storm and others just to our west will head east towards KC over the next few hours. @fox4kc
A Severe T-Storm Watch is now in effect for a good chunk of the area until 11 PM. We're expecting storms to fire up around & after 6 PM with severe wind/hail threats. Low-end spin-up threat is present too. Stay Weather Aware! @fox4kc
