Whatever happens during awards season, in my opinion Tom Cruise had us - and the Best Actor Oscar - at that scene.
Afterwards it’s game over for everyone else and thank you for your participation.
Impressive! 🙌
That “tunnel” can often be terrible: any celebrity who doesn’t keep their world-sized ego in check ends up looking like an insufferable A-hole.
But not Tom: he gets people involved and often turns his own back to the camera, emphasizing his gratitude instead of overplaying the huge star he’s almost always been 👏👏👏
Every @TomCruise project is interesting from the get-go because of how he approaches the marketing aspect of it: how he gets the public interested, teased, thrilled, etc.
This time though, it’s a level up: while Days of Thunder 2 is undeniably a popcorn blockbuster in the making, he’s approaching it as a film about a community, showing genuine interest in this world (we know it’s genuine because he’s always been passionate about racing), and he really seems to want to contribute to that world and have it play a significant part in the making of that film as well.
I think it’s pretty cool and unusual enough to be highlighted.

The best take on the whole Tarantino-Dano episode.

Just watched Lynne Ramsay’s Die My Love.
I don’t want to put down anyone, I think Ramsay, Lawrence and Pattinson did an amazing job.
I still feel that the film lacks something: it was always a little too clear and obvious to me. Despite some subtle narrative choices, I could almost always tell the next plot move, I was never really surprised, it felt like it lacked rawness.
Maybe a tighter cut would help?
Special kudos to Spacek and Nolte: tiny parts, huge performances.
Is this real?
These viewing habits should be fought and defeated through higher quality content, not coped with by dumbing down the writing.

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox quoting author Yuval Levin:
“I’m not optimistic, but I am hopeful. And hope is the virtue that sits between the vices of optimism and pessimism. Hope is the idea that good things are going to happen because we can make them so.”
The whole speech is well worth watching.
Every single world of this.

For #HorrorMovies fans on here: @TheConjuring : Last Rites is great!
Well worth watching in a movie theater, don’t miss it!
PS: In my opinion this poster doesn’t do it justice at all.
