We're excited to share our new integration with @InterProDB!
Now, when you search for a Pfam on InterPro, you'll see a Genomic Context section with results from SeqHub, which show the queried Pfam with neighboring genes across different taxa.
Check out this Pfam entry: ebi.ac.uk/interpro/entry/pfa…
Thank you to our advisor @Alexbateman1 and the rest of the InterPro team for the partnership!

A long-read pipeline with MMseqs2 clustering, InterProScan, and AlphaFold3 modeling identified 35 RTX adhesin isoforms across 16 loci in seven bacterial pathogens. Ligand-binding domains include carbohydrate-binding modules and von Willebrand Factor A-like domains in mix-and-match arrangements.

Microbial genomes have been extensively mined for new proteins, but the noncoding sequences between genes remain largely unexplored despite encoding important regulatory and functional information.
In our new work, we asked whether gLM2 could help systematically discover these intergenic features. tatta.bio/intergenic-sae

This one is really special to me! As someone who probably spends more time on @uniprot than on Google, I’m incredibly proud that SeqHub search is now integrated with UniProt, bringing together UniProt’s rich protein annotations with SeqHub’s view of native genomic context across diverse microbial lineages.
This gives researchers a more complete picture of proteins of interest, connecting what we know about their function with the genomic neighborhoods and evolutionary contexts in which they occur.

Cyanobacterial RNA-binding protein Asl3888 is ribosome-associated and involved in C/N metabolism. It is encoded in almost all cyanobacteria, green, red, and brown algae, diatoms, cryptomonads, and pelagophytes.
