Director of Growth at @Kintsu Building the future of staking, credit and capital formation onchain

Really proud of this milestone. What started with liquid staking has grown into something much bigger. Today we're bringing everything we've been building together under one Kintsu platform, from liquid staking on @monad and @HyperliquidX to confidential credit and digital capital markets on @CantonNetwork One team. One platform. Excited for what's ahead!
Kintsu began with liquid staking. We are now expanding the platform into confidential credit and digital capital markets. The work developed under @Cenote_network is moving under Kintsu. The Cenote brand is retiring, and the capital markets product under development will launch as Kintsu Capital Markets. Kintsu Capital Markets is being built to support confidential credit markets, curated market structures and programmable financial infrastructure for tokenized assets on @CantonNetwork Kintsu’s liquid staking products remain part of the broader platform. Going forward, all capital markets research, development updates and product communication will come from Kintsu. One Kintsu. One platform. kintsu.xyz/

Funnily enough I wrote about this yesterday... BlackRock gets the rails right: - AI is machine native intelligence, crypto is machine native money - Agents cant use banks so they need blockchains - Stablecoins are the money they pay with - Compute becomes a tokenised asset class But they stop at money and compute. The machine economy needs far more than that... identity, contracts, attention, energy, information itself. All of it gets tokenised, and most of those asset classes dont exist yet. Everything will be a token. And I mean everything.
Our latest research paper explores the growing connection between AI and digital assets and explains why broad AI adoption may drive new demand, utility and applications across the digital asset economy. blackrock.com/us/individual/…

This was a banger. @wesarn_real made me believe in crypto all over again in this keynote at Canton Summit. Highly recommend you take a listen 👇
Execution moved to milliseconds decades ago. Settlement never did, it still runs on a cycle measured in days. @Wesarn_real's opening keynote at Canton Summit framed that gap as the starting point for rebuilding capital markets around programmable, composable assets. Watch now.

“That layer one is robust.” Chris Giancarlo on @CantonNetwork Kintsu is building Variable Rate Interest Markets on Canton enabling greater collateral efficiency and utilisation as @The_DTCC prepares to roll out tokenisation for eligible U.S. equities this October.
“That layer one is robust.” “I expect this to go well.” Former CFTC Chair Chris Giancarlo on Canton and DTCC’s tokenization rollout. A decade of development. Better collateral use. The potential for more trading activity.

Could not agree more! $NEAR is one to watch
been thinking more on coherent messaging re: NEAR let's ideate from first principles: - the product of capitalism is markets - capitalism -> markets -> competition -> specialization -> fragmentation - within the specializations, there will be dominant leaders in each category - SoV: gold, zec, btc - trading: solana, hyperliquid, robinhood, binance - currencies: usd, eur, gbp - and on it goes: ai inference, private compute, real estate, international stocks, metals, e-commerce yada yada - this requires connective tissue, which has been traditionally served via something like binance - but one centralized company can not serve this need for infinite markets. there are too many handicaps, lack of network effects, and singular points of risk and stoppage. this is a rare case of decentralization being necessary. neutrality is non-negotiable for unstoppable global trade. - now, you may see where I'm going and say: well Ethereum and Cosmos already tried this. but that's wrong. what they tried to do was structurally flawed - those models required the succeeding nodes (L2s and L3s) to be from within the ecosystem, but that is incoherent since i) you can't force success, ii) if one were to succeed, they would just want to own the platform - the other model is of course the Solana/Hyperliquid model of having everything concentrated on the L1. this model works. however this requires a high-degree of specialization to be competitive. you won't out nasdaq solana. - but, NEAR does not need to do this. where there is concentration, there is also the need for connection. - especially with their chain signature architecture, instead of forcing new internal nodes, they can just discover the successful ones and connect them to each other without ideology (see: NEAR intents supporting ZEC but also ZEC on Solana!) - importantly, this is PvE and not zero sum. the more markets succeed, the more interesting NEAR becomes, i.e if Solana is one continent, and AI another, and Zcash another, then NEAR is the silk road. so I think the coherent message for NEAR is: the market of markets — the capital of capital

DeFi will win. Today’s SEC Innovation Exemption is a landmark moment. It reminds me of an analogy someone I deeply respect made about crypto & Napster. Do you remember that feeling when you downloaded your first MP3 file peer-to-peer across the internet through Napster or LimeWire? You wait a minute, press play, and it feels like magic. You never forget that kind of feeling. Once you’ve experienced what music can be, there’s really no going back. DeFi gives you that same feeling. It might be that first time you worked up the courage and yeeted some money into Bitcoin. The first time you ever used Uniswap. Hyperliquid. You kind of “just do it,” and even if you don’t fully understand the magic yet, that’s what true innovation feels like. Hold your own assets. Trade directly from your wallet. Markets that run 24x7 and never close. Once you’ve experienced it, the question becomes, “Why would finance work any other way?” That’s the effect great dApps and blockchains have on people. But without the freedom to challenge the status quo, progress grinds to a halt. For those of us who have spent years obsessing over & building web3, seeing @HesterPeirce, @SECPaulSAtkins & the whole @SECGov team make room for experimentation with real-world assets feels pretty incredible. Napster gave us a glimpse of what the internet could truly do for music. And DeFi is continuing to show what it can do for capital markets. Finally, the rules are getting clearer and moving in the right direction. Thank you for your hard work to make space for innovation of all shapes and sizes. And most of all, thanks for helping turn the page on an era of punishing the good actors. That’s the feeling we’re building toward with @Kintsu on @CantonNetwork. Your first glimpse of what finance can feel with full composable privacy across not just crypto and stablecoins, but real tokenized equities & treasuries. Anyways, sounds like time to build. America is once again the best place in the world to be an innovator.

Education matters when you’re building financial infrastructure. As Kintsu builds Variable Rate Interest Markets on Canton, we want users to understand not just the opportunity, but the mechanics and risk frameworks underneath it. Borrowing limits, liquidation thresholds, utilisation, collateral quality...these details matter.
A borrowing limit caps debt. A liquidation threshold marks when liquidation becomes possible. The gap between them is the buffer. Falling collateral value or accruing interest consumes it. Kintsu’s Variable Rate Interest Markets are coming to @CantonNetwork very soon.

Why did we choose to build on Monad 👇🏼
Why did we choose to build on Monad? The people and the principles they keep showing up for. The teams at @monad Foundation and @category_xyz have spent years pushing the EVM forward while staying committed to decentralization. Their persistence is what earned our conviction. That’s the kind of team we want to build alongside. You can tell they’re in it for the tech.

MON that secures the network usually stops being useful for anything else. sMON is MON that doesn't stop. The stake keeps working. The position stays yours to move. One asset, many jobs.

Idk who needs to hear this, but countries are just companies. Raising capital is a lot like fiat inflation. Issuing new equity and token emissions are inflation too. People tend to think inflation is always bad, but companies willingly decide to dilute themselves all the time. You issue more of the asset, so existing holders own a smaller piece of a bigger pie. But that’s the whole bet: that the pie grows so much that your smaller percent ends up being worth more than the slice you had before. Good monetary policy and good capital allocation are basically the same bet. It's all business and incentives are everything.

Educate and Empower
Every liquidation comes down to one ratio. LTV (Loan to value) = debt ÷ collateral value. The price you get liquidated at, how much room you have, and how fast that room disappears all fall out of it.
