🚨FEMA, in coordination w/ the FCC, will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, at approximately 2:20 p.m. ET, w/ a backup date of December 3, 2026 if conditions force a postponement. This will effect radio, TV, cable, & satellite. Not cell phones. The alert with last 2 minutes and is the first nationwide test since 2023 despite the hirstorical norm being every 2 years because of the 2015 IPAWS Modernization Act changing this to every 3 years.
