Go after a branch of math that scares the hell out of you. That’s the real secret to growing your intellect. Wrestling with intense abstraction drags a level of thinking out of you that you didn't know you had. It’s going to hurt, and you’ll feel incompetent for weeks, staring at pages full of alien symbols. But stick with it until it clicks, and you'll spot hidden patterns in how the world operates that almost everyone else misses entirely.

to get it to 0% someone has to keep buying NOs. Back then you'd have to tie up that money for almost a full year, so that was effectively a risk free rate you'd make if you just parked that money and earned passive yield on your USDC

when i was a quant dev we ran mid-to-low frequency L/S signals, so i never saw real market making. i’d read a lot of HJB papers and assumed that’s how desks did it. only learned otherwise from people on here. easy to go in circles if you aren’t in the know

having the incredible fortune of pressing buttons for a living then shitting on everyone attempting the same
opus actively concealing and not following prompts lately, it's infuriating
one month it's fine and incredible to use and next month it gets nerfed and actively sabotages your work

i want to start building saas products, but almost every idea i come up with already has a solid open-source alternative.
even when i see things i could improve or add, it feels like i'm just building another clone with a few extra features.
how do indie hackers find something worth charging for without reinventing the wheel?
would love to hear some advice from people who've been through this.

thought everyone had their agent build their own cli...apparently not.
Before: ~40k tokens and 6 file reads just to get oriented. 30s
After: one command, 2k tokens. 5s
