Congrats to #WorldSeries Champion Joey Ortiz!
@NMStateBaseball alum was the first recruit in the @coachbriangreen era and became the schools all-time leader in triples and hits in a single season.
Now he’s a WS Champion!

Jax Janeski, the 341st overall ranked player in the Class of 2028, has announced his commitment to USC.
Jax Janeski (‘28, CA) is a long-levered 6-foot-4, 205-pound right-hander with a projectable frame and a fluid, repeatable and athletic delivery. The fastball works in the upper-80s T91, with heavy arm-side run + sink, and he pairs it with a low- to mid-70s SL that shows flashes of sweeping action along with a depthy CH that shows quality shape/velo separation of the heater. He consistently attacks the zone with all his offerings giving him a strong starter foundation already with obvious room/time to develop more velo and stuff.

HUGE for @ApacheBaseball1 and Southern Arizona:
Former Nogales standout pitcher Marcel Renteria, who was a New York Mets prospect who reached Triple-A before suffering a career-ending arm injury, is USC's new director of player development.
He joins another Nogales alum, Keith Zuniga, who was hired as the Trojans' pitching coach this summer.
