The perfect bookstore. The Livraria Lello in Porto, Portugal reminds us that any space can be made beautiful if we want it.

Thought I'd organize my office. Four hours later, I've created a million piles and want to shove it all in a closet and go write. Unfortunately, I convinced my husband to clean the garage, so now I have to keep moving things around to maintain the illusion of progress. 🤦‍♀️

Every time I get this email my brain translates it to: "We have your Amazon item; we're getting it ready for transport. Pay the ransom and nobody gets hurt." Meanwhile the email is literally just: "Hey, your package is on the way." Why am I like this? 🤷‍♀️

Back to work on my current WIP with my darling assistant. She's not much help but she's cute! Now to adjust 44 out of 64 chapters... wish me luck ☺️

✨️ Finished my current WIP!! ✨️ Now for an extra-long weekend in Prague with my oldest son. Plan: explore, relax, paint, drink, and fill a notebook with all the things I need to fix my manuscript. So excited! 🥂

A reminder from Atomic Habits by James Clear: “It doesn't make sense to continue wanting something if you're not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don't want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process is to guarantee disappointment.”
