Folks have insulted:
My Southern drawl.
My loc’d hair.
My clothes.
My shoes.
My intelligence.
I’ve been called a ghetto Black
b!t€h.
Now @JDVance says I don’t belong and should leave the very country my ancestors helped build.
This is a lot y’all. It is.
Please. This.
For the umpteenth time: Quit trying to analyze Trump. Quit trying to figure out why he says and does the things he says and does. I’m so fucking sick of listening to some panel on CNN try to discuss his latest bizarre pronouncement like he’s some normal human being. Stop that. This isn’t complicated- He’s not a normal human being. He’s a sociopath. He lies as he breathes. He’s an idiot. He’s a Russian asset. He gets off on being cruel. He’s never been held accountable for anything he’s done his entire life. He’s a horrible person. And he’s the biggest fucking crybaby who’s ever lived. That’s it.
#bearsrepeating as caring people and caring governments make a difference.
Hi. 😊 Swedish dude here.
When our children get sick, we have 60 paid days per year to stay home with them.
Per parent.
They're separate from my 25 paid vacation days.
Meaning I don't have to use my own paid sick leave.
If I'm a single parent: 120 days.
If my child has a chronic illness: 120 days
If my child is hospitalized: unlimited days.
These days reset every January.
By law. every year until child is 18.
Follow for more glimpses into life in a social democracy, where dignity is not a privilege.
Peace ✌🏼
This bears repeating. For shame.
When Lutnick appeared with Chung two days after 9/11, I took everything he said at face value. We were all so traumatized, and he seemed so sincere. But now? After watching him lie so effortlessly for a solid year and a half on behalf of a treasonous Nazi rapist who is clearly evil and working for our adversaries? A billionaire buddy of both Trump and Epstein who shamelessly lied about bringing not only his children, but his friends’ children, to a notorious child-sex-trafficking pedophile’s rape island?
You’ll excuse me, but I now doubt every word that’s ever come out of Howard Lutnick’s mouth—whether last week on Squawk Box or 25 years ago on Connie Chung. For all we know, that 2001 interview was the pièce de résistance of a world champion deceiver.
That’s how far my faith in him has fallen. I no longer give Lutnick the benefit of the doubt about anything. True, you’d have to be a serial-killer-level psychopath to lie, under those circumstances, and on national TV, about that. But knowing what we know now—I mean, are we sure he’s not?
In the wake of 9/11, the much-despised Rudy Giuliani became America’s Mayor. He dined on that for years, noun-verb-and-9/11’ing his way to fame and fortune. Heck, the Queen of England even made him an honorary knight! But that persona was always bogus. As it turns out, Giuliani was a piece of shit before, during, and after the attacks—and, however reassuring his presence felt to us New Yorkers on September 11th, mayoral decisions he made regarding the location of the city’s Office of Emergency Management command center (he inexplicably overrode everyone else and insisted it be at the WTC) and the walkie-talkies used by the NYFD (the Motorola ones he chose after what amount to a no-bid contract didn’t work properly in the buildings on 9/11) wound up contributing significantly to the ultimate 9/11 death toll.
By brazenly and alacritously carrying water for Donald Trump—and, by extension, the Kremlin—Rudy Giuliani squandered the ample goodwill he accumulated in 2001. America’s Mayor was exposed as a fraud: a pathetic drunk; a credibly accused rapist, whose scummy sexual predation was on full display in the Borat sequel; a sad loser addressing a media scrum outside of Four Seasons Total Landscaping, as cheap hair dye oozed onto his sweaty forehead. That Rudy was the real Rudy.
I suspect that the Howard Lutnick we’ve seen for the last 18 months—the Howard Lutnick who keeps Donald Trump company on the daily, the Howard Lutnick who stands behind him grinning during the idiotic Oval Office pressers, the Howard Lutnick who went with him to the Knicks game, the Howard Lutnick who appears on TV and winsomely gaslights the country about Trump’s shit economic policies, the Howard Lutnick who brought his wife and kids to Epstein’s rape island and lied about it, the Howard Lutnick who removed Cantor Fitzgerald’s missing-but-not-yet-confirmed-dead employees from the payroll four days after the towers fell, the Howard Lutnick who exploited a national tragedy to line his own bloated pockets—is the real Howard Lutnick. That he, like his fellow 9/11 hero Giuliani, has always been a piece of shit. That the tears he cried in that 2001 interview were of the crocodile variety.
A quarter century after 9/11, I mourn all those who lost their lives in the attacks, including Gary Lutnick and the 657 other Cantor Fitzgerald employees who died that horrible day. But I do not weep for Howard Lutnick. Not this time. Once was quite enough for that guy.
Lutnick only survived the fall of the towers by dumb luck—by divine intervention, one might argue. And how has he elected to spend the years he was miraculously gifted? By dutifully serving Donald Trump—an unequivocal monster, serial sexual predator, and abominable traitor who has done more harm to the United States than even Osama Bin Laden.
For shame.

The trauma these kids are experiencing will be with them for the rest of their lives. We are creating mental illnesses. They will have neurosis and personality disorders, PTSD, failure to bond disorders. Trump's government has harmed these children for the rest of their lives.
And to stay out of prison.
Holy shit Biden tears into Trump:
“The reflecting pool reflects something even worse than the narcissism and incompetence at the core of this administration. It’s the corruption. The corruption. The brazen, blatant corruption. Corruption on a scale never seen before in American history in any administration.
Trump has made billions of dollars since returning to the White House. Simply stunning to me.
He has no shame. Frankly, it’s embarrassing for the country. Trump couldn’t care less.
Making money off the presidency is one of the reasons he wants to be president.”

It's always "protect women, protect children, protect babies" until it's actually time to protect women, children, and babies.

😔 sad that she's left us but grateful for all that she leaves behind.
In 1988 Dolly Parton pulled every 7th and 8th grader in Sevier County into a room and told them to pick a buddy.
She made them sign a contract.. if BOTH graduate, she hands you both $500. One fails, nobody gets paid.
The county dropout rate went from 35% to 6%.
She handed out the checks herself.
In 1989 she offered $500 to every kid in the county who wanted to go to the local college.
When Gatlinburg burned in 2016, she sent 900 families $1,000 a month for six months.
You've probably heard that part.
Here's the part you haven't:
The fund raised more than expected, so she showed up in May and handed every one of those families another $5,000 on top.
Then she quietly put $3 million into the recovery group that handles the years after the news trucks leave.
She built her county an entire hospital.
She played a benefit concert in 2007, Dollywood and the Stampede matched it, and LeConte Medical Center opened in 2010 with a birthing unit and a women's center in it.
In 2022 she started covering 100% of tuition, books, and fees for Dollywood employees.
Full-time, part-time, AND seasonal.
In 1991 she paid for a bald eagle sanctuary because the birds couldn't be released back into the wild, no press release.
And when Hurricane Helene came through here in Western North Carolina, she wrote a personal check for $1 million and her companies matched it.
She didn't owe North Carolina anything, but she helped us anyway.
She started the Imagination Library because her daddy couldn't read or write. Before he passed, he told her it was the most important thing she ever did.
Rest in Peace, Dolly 🇺🇸
Thank you for speaking out Senator.
Ossoff: It’s been amazing to watch this White House melt down over this all week. And about Natalie Harp, these White House staffers are adults, public officials paid by the taxpayer, with immense power in positions of public trust. And whether it’s Natalie Harp printing out Donald Trump’s daily dose of delusion and flattery, or Peter Navarro steering taxpayer-funded loans to Trump family investments, or Pete Hegseth deluding the president daily into deepening this quagmire in the Middle East, no one cares about their feelings.
The sailors on the Lincoln are fighting his war, a war based on lies, while he plays with his new ballroom, flies around on a jet given to him by a foreign prince, and retreats into this circle of sycophantic aides who tell him every day what he wants to hear, not what he needs to hear.
This entire White House is responsible for lying the country into war, and for the rest of their careers, they will be known for having participated in this obscenity.
Brava! Let's get out the vote Florida. 🌴💙
“I don’t know about you but I was taught to love my neighbors… They call me extreme but these things are not radical. They are not extreme… So Ashley Moody can call us whatever she wants. But in November she will call me Senator.”
— Progressive Angie Nixon, after pulling off a major upset over Alex Vindman in Florida’s Democratic Senate primary. She will face GOP’s Ashley Moody, the sitting Senator from Florida, in November.
Thank you Senator.
Another Jon Ossoff moment from Atlanta not getting enough attention came when he addressed Trump’s remaining supporters DIRECTLY:
“He promised to lower prices on day one. You remember that? … I want the president’s remaining supporters to hear this because it was all a lie.”
Then he laid out the betrayal:
“Under Donald J. Trump, it costs more than ever to stock your fridge… to power your home… to make a cup of coffee, to buy school supplies for your kid, or a tractor for your farm.”
And then Ossoff went for the throat:
“They made you pay more for everything and took us to war on lies and spent most of last year trying to cover up for the world’s most famous pedophile while the crook president… and his crook family raked in billions.”
His conclusion was fucking devastating:
“They are literally the elites they pretend to hate.”
Bravo. I hope Georgia gets it right!
There’s a part of Jon Ossoff’s Atlanta rally everyone missed, and it may have been the most powerful moment of the entire night.
“I’ve got two little girls at home. Eva’s four and Lila’s one… But this isn’t the world I want to leave them.”
Then he put America’s broken priorities into one devastating sentence:
“We’ve amassed enough firepower to end the world a thousand times over, but we can’t summon the will to guarantee health care and pre-K.”
And then came the line every parent will feel in their bones:
“When Eva’s old enough to ask me why I let this happen, I’m determined to answer truthfully…
THAT I DIDN’T.”
🔥🔥🔥
This is the entire damn fight.
Sweet! 🐝
