Disney visitor alert: Those with tree nut (TN) allergies should know that Disney World is updating its menus to align with the FDA's 2025 revised list of TNs requiring labeling (e.g, coconut is no longer on the list.) What other nuts are off the list? See: allergicliving.com/2026/10/1…

A passenger went into anaphylactic shock over the Atlantic and the plane had no EpiPen. Dr Mike Varshavski improvised with the epinephrine meant for cardiac arrest, then told the story on YouTube. Chuck Schumer's office called him to push for EpiPens on planes.

When I founded Best Ever You in 2008, I didn't call it Better Than You. I didn't call it Perfect You. I didn't call it Better Than Everyone Else. I didn't call it New and Improved You, Fix Yourself, Never Make Another Mistake, or Finally Get Your Life Together. Thank goodness I didn't call it Best at Everything, because I would have disqualified myself from my own company almost immediately.
I called it Best Ever You.
There's a difference.

This would be amazing transpar for our community. Hoping this becomes law.
Allergy advocates are helping propel forward a new N.J. allergens labeled on menus bill. Passed 1st Senate test! Bill would require allergen labeling at restos, delis, coffee shops++. Plus, @AAFANational's big MEAL initiative champions more such laws. allergicliving.com/2026/10/0…

BREAKING: Lawmakers turn up the heat on @FAANews over lifesaving epinephrine on planes—and @united reveals to @SenDuckworth @SenSchumer they will begin transitioning to auto-injectors in its medical kits in response to @SenDuckworth and @SenSchumer.
A scathing letter. A major airline stepping up. Will the @FAANews follow?

Bravo & gratitude for your steadfast leadership on this
We live in one of the most medically advanced countries in the world. Yet we are still debating whether planes should carry easy-to-use epinephrine.
Anaphylaxis in the air is foreseeable. Our preparedness should reflect that. Read more in our newest @AllergicLiving piece 👇allergicliving.com/2026/10/0…
NEWS: Today, I led a group of 20 bipartisan lawmakers calling on the FAA to guarantee that emergency medical kits require epinephrine on every flight.
Because if you have an allergic reaction 35,000 feet in the air, you should trust there's the medication you need on board.
A must read. We're hoping the FAA hears and acts. Thank you to the lawmakers for the leadership and @AllergicLiving for the excellent coverage.

Proud to be quoted in The @washingtonpost , where I called the @FAANews proposed emergency medical kit rule shameful.
We live in one of the most medically advanced countries in the world. Yet we are still debating whether planes should carry easy-to-use epinephrine. Food allergies affect children and adults. Tick bites can lead to alpha-gal syndrome. Airline meal labeling can legally be incomplete, giving passengers a false sense of safety.
Anaphylaxis in the air is foreseeable. Our preparedness should reflect that.
Stock the planes with easy-to-use epinephrine for children and adults. Make emergency medical kits reflect the decade we live in.
It is way past time.A push to update airplane medical kits takes a surprise turn wapo.st/4AMHBMN
