Maybe health care would be more affordable if it was used to provide health care instead of create billionaires? If the choice is “provide health care” or “make health care company owners billionaires,” which should we choose?
Across Illinois, thousands of people stuck in congregate institutions (nursing facilities et al.) could get better care, greater dignity, more freedom at less cost to the state getting care at home or community alternatives. Better working conditions for caregivers as well.
