If every Traitor outed themselves as a Traitor at the roundtable while under suspicion there literally wouldn’t be a show. That’s why people don’t like what James A did and that’s totally fair 🤷 #TheCelebrityTraitors #CelebrityTraitors

I find that other women are significantly more likely to give up their seats for a heavily pregnant woman on public transport than men. I’m definitely far along enough that there can be no doubt or social awkwardness in offering. Is chivalry dead or are men just less observant?

Dan Aykroyd’s dancing is absolutely legendary! More than 45 years later, this performance is still incredibly entertaining. The talent on that stage is simply unreal! ❤️🎶🔥 The Blues Brothers (John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd) perform “Soul Man” on Saturday Night Live in 1978. 🎤🕺✨

This is interesting. Germany's interior minister says deportations to Afghanistan "are a regular and reliable part of our migration policy".

I don’t think this has had the press coverage it deserves. It is insane. The right to decide who enters Britain belongs to the British state, not to whichever charity has the Home Office’s ear. The opportunities for favouritism, nepotism and corruption are obvious. A well-connected individual with well-placed supporters will secure nomination over others facing greater persecution. Dodgy intermediaries may well demand money from families seeking sponsorship. Charities could become vehicles for bringing over relatives, associates or even political allies. It risks creating an entire system of private patronage. I go into all this in more detail here: thecritic.co.uk/labours-gold…
From today, charities can apply to sponsor refugees through new, capped Named Community Sponsorship and Refugee study safe and legal routes. Sponsors will provide accommodation, integration support and help finding work. First arrivals are expected in autumn 2027.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work. My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Watch this 80-second clip of ITV’s coverage of the 50th anniversary of VE Day from London in 1995 and weep for what we have lost. What we have thrown away in just three decades. Damn forever the politicians who allowed this to happen and the media class that was complicit.

It is awful. Young people have a better life on benefits than they do working. It’s horrible. He’s working so hard to build the career he’s dreamt of for years and all opportunity is fading as businesses can no longer afford services and the cost of living crisis is hitting working people so young adults are getting hit from all sides and burning out. It’s so wrong. Work is supposed to pay.

WTF? A Prime Minister who has never run a business in his life demands answers because a private business fails? … let me help you, Andy & co. A retail chain needs to stay in fashion, needs to go with the flow! … But you and successive governments don’t like their “tat” products (mostly sourced off shore to sell them at £1!!! That the whole point right?) anyway… for free (without a taxpayer funded £MULTIMILLION enquiry I’ll tell you the problems… (you’re welcome) ▪️massively increased regulations and compliance costs. ▪️cheap tat sourced from abroad, with rising shipping and transport costs. ▪️Hit by increased minimum wages and employer National Insurance. ▪️Hit by rising rents and business rates. ▪️Hit by soaring energy bills and net zero costs. ▪️Hit by higher interest rates. ▪️Hit by consumers with less disposable income. ▪️Hit by the soaring cost of borrowing to buy stock months in advance. ▪️Hit by higher insurance premiums. ▪️Hit by shoplifting, organised theft and security costs. ▪️Hit by packaging taxes, recycling regulations and environmental compliance costs.( which you just throw into general taxation, non of it changes the weather) ▪️Hit by higher fuel, warehousing and distribution costs. ▪️Hit by increased employment costs, pensions and statutory obligations. ▪️Hit by competition from overseas online retailers operating with very different overheads.( duty free … for foreign businesses oops) ▪️And hit by the impossibility of passing those costs onto customers, who shop at Poundland precisely because they need cheap stuff! … which isn’t cheap anymore (see above) Every single time you add something on … so do they! And the idiot, deluded politicians who have made Britain more and more expensive and difficult to do business in, are demanding to know why businesses are struggling? You are all moronic. My work here is done 🤡

It cannot be emphasised enough how absurd it is to be opening up new refugee routes for individuals who have already left their country of origin and are under the UNHCR mandate elsewhere. This whole scheme is simply designed to make life easier for the likes of Egypt, Pakistan and India.
New: Labour is inviting "open border activists" to sponsor refugees to move to the UK, critics have declared. The Home Office insisted voluntary organisations allowed to apply, from today, to sponsor arrivals must be “a UK registered charity” and have a “good reputation”, with the ability to provide accommodation. Under the new controversial safe and legal route, community groups will be able to sponsor people to move to the UK. This includes charities, universities, faith groups and businesses. Refugees who have sought protection in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Egypt, Uganda and Kenya will be eligible to move to the UK once security checks are completed, according to new Home Office guidance. They must also be registered with the UNHCR. But critics highlighted the huge number of Afghans currently residing in Pakistan, with more than 730,000 registered refugees, as an example of how the scheme could spiral out of control. @migrationCtrl warns: “The Home Secretary has given a motivated cabal of open border activist groups, masquerading as charities, the right to bring migrants to Britain.”
