Inspiration & Iteration: How Undertale & Deltarune Are Connected
I think Undertale & Deltarune are connected to each other, but to explain why, I'll need you to join me on this wild ride

Has someone else independently talked about the idea that the Tail of Hell could actually just be perceived as the Knight’s moving afterimage in ball form? I feel like I’ve seen someone else say this and that it’s not my original thought, either my partner or someone on here

(Also would explain why Dess has so many inherent connections to Dirk / Bro Strider and Splinters. Perhaps FRIEND is something almost like AR?? Made by her for one purpose, ends up going through its own journey and becoming a part of the big evil like Lil Cal??)

Goners have always had a weird, existential angle to them but this is literally dipping into cosmic horror tropes. And also oh my god I just realised how similar it is to what happened to Jevil. What if they're literally gaining the same knowledge about the nature of the world

We literally know for certain that Donut Guy has a Goner counterpart so there's a pretty low chance this is coincidence. This could be the moment the change happens, and it happened because of a transfer of knowledge. Knowledge Donut Guy doesn't even really understand

Was just thinking about how chapter 5 adds SO MUCH weight to the idea that Goner-ism spreads through knowledge. NormalNPC talks about books when we find them, they barricade us from reading them 2, maybe 3 times, and Donut Guy starts speaking about G after they mention it
