No one asked but; these are most of the books that really imprinted on me over time:
Camus’ The Fall
Jung’s Red Book, Aion, Answer to Job, Synchronicity
Dostoyevsky’s Crime and Punishment
Kierkegaard’s The Sickness unto Death
Kafka’s The Trial, The Castle
Revelational.
First book to truly make me understand (not just think) that everyone is deserving of love, and that past actions don’t need to be definitive for every bit of the future outlook.
And that guilt truly is all-consumptive, yet atonement is within reach.
Competitive integrity and all. Not that people didn’t know (the entire scene did), but shit like that gets swept under the rug in the sea of narratives.
Also the butterfly effect of that is crazy, I spiraled mentally and physically at the end of 2016 because of this.

Fascinating to see the evolution of the League community in regards to openly brash and uncompromising leadership.
This used to be common place until we nixed it sometime in the early 2020s.
Wonder what will happen to Inspired’s reputation should he stop performing at his level
G2 seems to have too little upward talent/creativity to bypass the usual game rhythms, but also too little downward stability to continuously control game rhythm themselves.
In other words: They’re skipping steps hoping to reach their Mount Everest, but are without a base camp.
Even though I was one of the later arrivals:
One of the things that combined most of us back in the days as players, was our shared sense of camaraderie, even across teams.
We might have hated one another on the rift, but when the day was over we all ended up drinking together.
And that forms different relationships altogether.
We were somewhat dependent on one another for support, most of us navigating our first relationships, our first time away from home, and the first time that we really had to prove ourselves without necessarily having security.
Soaz & Peke always talked so highly of him that I was almost jealous, but I got to experience a lot of the why. And no words really come close.
So pure hearted, never second guessed sacrificing for his friends, and always had a joke to lift the mood.
Rest in peace, Cyamigo.
Inspired overforced so badly multiple times this game, to the point that I wonder if this was a complete disagreement about the draft and win capabilities. He played as if it was lost unless they get 5k ahead by 20 mins
If you blended out the names and told me this was a Division 2 ERL game, I would have believed you.
Ugly League of Legends.
I’m honestly somewhat incapable of living for myself. If I don’t have a purpose tied to another person, someone I can be hardworking for, it all breaks down a little. Achieving for the sake of achieving just feels like quiet narcissism. Which is why I loved esports camaraderie.

[BREAKING] Riot announces League Classic will end after the current season ❌
"We’ll then put Classic back in the box for now, with the goal of bringing it back, likely as an event mode with adjustments and additions."
"We are issuing refunds on Classic-specific content that will no longer be usable, and shipping the Act II Classic Battle Pass in 26.21 with a free track only."

Barely through Kierkegaard’s “The Sickness Unto Death’s” A. section, and I’m already sitting with tears in my eyes.
Never have I read a more heartfelt account of despair itself, and how deep it cuts into the self - even if that is just the outlined “beginning” of the disease.
Yes and no, but one problem: survivorship bias.
Age is definitely not as much of a factor as often touted. But patch changes, and the need to be inventive require a certain mental flexibility which is not necessarily tied to age, but I’d assume is more correlated with youth.
This gets posted by every publication every event so I might as well say it since I’ll get ragebaited eventually.
The only true detractor to a player’s skill is their work ethic & passion in what they do. Not because they’re closing in on 30.
Deft is just coming back from the military and I’m confident will be one of the best ADs because he dedicates his life to the game.
Core, Faker, Rookie & Dhokla are top 4 on this list and possibly every future list we get it. They’ll all go through ruts throughout a year like any player, and will climb out of it because of the time spent at improving, understanding the meta better or their own role on the team.
For some players their interests will change, life forces them to change their priorities, they could have wrist issues or some will genuinely burn out.
We need to stop this obsession with their age and this collective retirement-watch that inevitably impacts the player and how they’re perceived.
