got tired of checking OnRe stuff manually so I ended up building a Telegram bot for it
the idea is pretty simple
It has the useful OnRe stats and updates in one place and make them easier to check
t.me/OnReTracker_bot
I have tested it myself and havent found any bugs so far, but there’s always a chance I missed something
if you run into any issues or there is something you’d like me to add let me know
still building
@onrefinance
silver is starting to look interesting to me around this zone
it has real industrial use across electronics and power infrastructure and the market is expected to stay in a supply deficit this year
thats the fundamental side of my thesis
im looking at this as a medium to long term idea though. short term price action can still get messy
46–53 is the zone im watching for a possible reversal but i want to see confirmation before getting too confident
just sharing my own view and how im looking at it
one interesting thing about reinsurance is how different risks take priority throughout the year
as the Atlantic hurricane season winds down, attention starts shifting toward European winter storms
the risks change but the need to manage them does not. Different regions face different threats and a good reinsurance strategy needs to account for that
this is where geographic and peril diversification comes in. Relying too heavily on one region or one type of catastrophe can create unnecessary exposure.
that is one aspect of @onrefinance I find worth following
there is more to reinsurance than generating yield from deployed capital. The quality of underwriting, how risks are selected and how exposure is managed are what make the model interesting in the long run.
the yield is what people notice first but the real work happens behind it.
10x points on kamino for OnRe markets is looking pretty crazy right now
lending USDC/USDG or looping both count and its limited time.
If you are already in this one is worth paying attention to
@onrefinance
OnRe Points are getting a boost on @kamino.
Lending and looping positions across OnRe Markets now earn 10x Points for a limited time.
Lend USDC or USDG across ONyc and PT-ONyc markets, or loop ONyc against USDC or USDG to maximize your rewards.
onycSOL just dropped and its actually kinda clever
you keep full SOL exposure (no selling, no crying when SOL pumps) while stacking normal staking yield with real world reinsurance returns from OnRe’s solana:5Y8NV33Vv7WbnLfq3zBcKSdYPrk7g2KoiQoe7M2tcxp5
your SOL goes into a basket of LSTs (JitoSOL, fwdSOL, hSOL) gets used as collateral on Kamino to borrow stables
then those stables get put to work across OnRe markets including senior and fixed-rate ONyc positions
RockawayX is managing the whole thing through Exponent vaults so there are actual guardrails instead of the usual trust me bro
Pre deposits are open with $20k and 4x OnRe points
if you have been bored of plain SOL staking and want something with a bit more going on this is worth checking

Introducing onycSOL, a new SOL token powered by RWA yield from ONyc
Maintain full SOL exposure while earning staking yield plus reinsurance returns from @onrefinance ONyc, in a strategy managed by @RockawayX
Pre-deposits are now open with $20K and 4x OnRe Points in rewards ↓
OnRe's growth is getting harder to ignore
9361 holders and counting with a pretty clear upward trend
but the bigger story is whats behind those numbers: real reinsurance yield being brought on-chain
over $307M in distributed asset value
this is more than just another holder growth chart. its a sign that onchain reinsurance is gaining real traction
excited to see how far this goes 👀
@onrefinance
i have been keeping an eye on solana:5Y8NV33Vv7WbnLfq3zBcKSdYPrk7g2KoiQoe7M2tcxp5 and one thing i think deserves more attention is its NAV growth
its gone from around $1 to $1.1618 since launch. thats pretty solid growth especially considering how rough the market has been at times
right now the dex price is slightly below NAV with a gap of around 0.36% when i checked
i think broader market conditions and liquidity could be playing a part here. wouldnt be surprised to see that gap get smaller as things improve
overall I think the consistency in NAV growth is a pretty good sign

Allez Labs’ July 2026 risk assessment explored how severe catastrophe losses could impact solana:5Y8NV33Vv7WbnLfq3zBcKSdYPrk7g2KoiQoe7M2tcxp5 ’s NAV.
two scenarios are worth looking at:
• a total loss on the largest single treaty could result in an estimated 8.1% NAV impact
• a Sandy-equivalent event across multiple applicable treaties could lead to a modeled NAV impact of 13.1%–22.1%
these are stress scenarios not predictions
they show how the portfolio might respond under extreme conditions. importantly, the assessment also found zero bad debt across all three modeled joint DeFi liquidation stress scenarios
of course, simulations have their limits. Real-world claims experience will ultimately help validate these assumptions as the portfolio grows
Stress testing isnt about predicting the next loss. its about understanding the potential damage before it happens
@onrefinance
OnRe is getting closer to $300M in active AUM
Its now at $290.83M in active AUM, with onchain AUM reaching $304.72m. even more interesting, the latest 7 day snapshot shows +$10.43m in net flows
now look at Re Protocol. it currently has $379.22m in AUM across multiple chains while OnRe has reached $304.72m in onchain AUM on Solana alone
thats a gap of around $74.5m
OnRe also has $247.1m in active TVL and 84.96% utilization giving us more context about its DeFi activity beyond the AUM figure
the interesting part is how close the gap is getting even with OnRe operating on just one chain
definitely worth keeping an eye on
@onrefinance
succinct was kinda different tho
from what i remember it wasnt only about getting a role
even if you didnt get one you could still get rewarded for being active and chatting in the discord
i dont think being active on the testnet itself mattered that much tho
a lot of people werent happy about it but i thought it was an interesting and kinda new approach
OnRe is now the third largest RWA platform on Solana by AUM (according to Defi Llama) but the more interesting question is what happens to that capital after it arrives
take @onrefinance for example
its latest snapshot shows $288.35M in AUM but looking at AUM alone doesnt tell the full story
OnRe also has $244.67M in active TVL, with reported utilization at 84.85%. Over the past 7 days its AUM increased by 1.86%, active TVL grew by 1.27%, and net flows reached +$1.5M
these numbers give us more context about OnRes activity in DeFi beyond its position by AUM alone
AUM shows the scale of the asset base, while TVL, utilization and flows help us understand how capital is being deployed and how it has changed recently
of course high utilization doesnt automatically mean better returns or lower risk and a 7 day snapshot isnt enough to judge long term performance
that is why its worth looking beyond AUM when following OnRe. the size of the asset base matters but how that capital is being used matters too
Reported catastrophe losses may be at their lowest since 2019 but that doesnt necessarily mean the reinsurance market is becoming safer
risk is not always visible in the numbers we see today
A changing El Niño could shift catastrophe exposure across regions, while delayed claims from events like the Baltimore bridge collapse may still affect pricing. Contract terms, inflation and geopolitical tensions add further layers of uncertainty
that is why looking at reported losses alone is never enough when evaluating reinsurance risk
At @onrefinance we believe strong underwriting starts with understanding the risks behind the numbers. Climate exposure, claims development and policy wording all play a role in determining how losses may ultimately unfold
For capital entering reinsurance through solana:5Y8NV33Vv7WbnLfq3zBcKSdYPrk7g2KoiQoe7M2tcxp5 , understanding the underlying business means looking beyond headline figures and considering the quality of the underwriting behind them
Lower losses today don't guarantee lower risk tomorrow. A resilient reinsurance market depends on understanding what the numbers may not yet reveal

you can collect premiums in reinsurance but how do you know if that business is actually performing well over time?
thats something worth thinking about when looking at reinsurance as a source of yield. a premium might be collected today, but the full cost of the risk may not become clear until months or even years later
claims can develop over time, reserves may need to be adjusted, and losses can change the picture long after the initial income has been recorded.
and thats where @onrefinance gets interesting
with OnRe, understanding the performance behind solana:5Y8NV33Vv7WbnLfq3zBcKSdYPrk7g2KoiQoe7M2tcxp5 means looking beyond the income generated
underwriting quality, claims development and the reserves held against potential losses all play a role in evaluating how the underlying reinsurance business performs.
of course this doesnt mean every risk is immediately visible or that early results tell us nothing. it means those results need to be viewed in context, alongside the liabilities and claims that may still develop
for me thats an important part of understanding reinsurance
collecting the premium is the beginning
understanding the risk and the eventual losses is what tells you more about the quality of the business

Why doesnt OnRe deploy all its capital?
For OnRe its about balancing reinsurance yield with liquidity and risk
Capital deployed into reinsurance can earn premiums, while keeping some capital liquid and maintaining reserves helps manage redemptions and unexpected claims.
Deploying more can create more earning opportunities, but it also means taking on more risk and leaving less capital readily available.
How does this affect ONyc?
Simply put, when OnRe’s reinsurance strategy earns returns those results can contribute to ONyc’s underlying NAV. Claims and other costs can affect it too.
That is why deploying more capital doesnt automatically mean better performance.
The goal isnt to deploy everything. It is to earn sustainable returns while keeping risk and liquidity in balance

funny how we suddenly love the tech when the price goes up :))
a few green days and we are like holding this for years
then it dumps and we start asking if the team is even alive lol
i think we all do this a little when we call it research
higher APY doesnt always mean better returns
especially with leverage
take solana:5Y8NV33Vv7WbnLfq3zBcKSdYPrk7g2KoiQoe7M2tcxp5 on Kamino for example
@onrefinance generates yield from reinsurance premiums and collateral income but leverage adds borrowing costs
let's say ONyc yields 11% with 2x leverage
5% borrow rate → 17% net APY
14% borrow rate → 8% net APY
same ONyc yield, same leverage, very different returns
these are hypothetical estimates before fees and potential losses
and there is still liquidation risk if collateral value drops
that is why watching borrow rates matters just as much as watching ONyc's APY
more leverage doesnt always mean more profit

you can verify an onchain transaction in seconds
but how do you verify whats actually backing the token?
thats something I have been thinking about with RWAs
blockchain gives us visibility into wallets, transactions and smart contracts but real world assets are a different story
insurance contracts, liabilities and offchain reserves cant be verified just by looking at a blockchain explorer
and thats where @onrefinance gets interesting
OnRe has a transparency dashboard showing how capital is allocated, along with reserves and reinsurance exposures behind solana:5Y8NV33Vv7WbnLfq3zBcKSdYPrk7g2KoiQoe7M2tcxp5
Apex Group provides monthly independent attestations of NAV and treasury balances
Allez Labs has also reviewed ONyc's asset backing and portfolio risks using both onchain data and offchain evidence
of course, none of this means every risk disappears or that everything is fully verifiable
but it gives holders more information to work with instead of just trusting the numbers they see
for me, thats what matters most with RWAs
not just putting assets onchain but making it easier to understand and independently check whats behind them

what happens to the capital backing solana:5Y8NV33Vv7WbnLfq3zBcKSdYPrk7g2KoiQoe7M2tcxp5 when a reinsurance contract expires?
it doesnt necessarily become available overnight
and thats an important part of @onrefinance's capital strategy
OnRe focuses on shorter-duration specialty reinsurance and catastrophe exposures, including industry loss warranties (ILWs)
these contracts have defined risk periods but expiry doesnt always mean every obligation has been settled
outstanding claims and remaining liabilities can affect when collateral becomes available again
and thats where OnRe's underwriting discipline comes in
as capital becomes available, OnRe can assess new opportunities around major renewal windows like January 1 and July 1
but it doesnt have to deploy capital just to collect more premiums
pricing, attachment points and portfolio concentration all influence whether a new contract is worth taking
meanwhile, OnRe can earn collateral income through yield-bearing reserves while supporting its insurance obligations
for ONyc holders, this means yield isnt just about how much capital is deployed today
its also about how OnRe manages the transition between risk periods and decides when that capital should take on new exposure
because efficient capital recycling matters, but never at the expense of underwriting discipline

more reinsurance contracts dont always mean better diversification
imagine several contracts covering different assets across the same hurricane-prone region
they might look like separate risks, but one major storm could trigger losses across multiple contracts at once
that's correlation risk
and its something @onrefinance has to consider when building its reinsurance portfolio
OnRe evaluates factors like geography, peril type, exposure limits and contract structure to manage concentration risk
but diversification doesn't eliminate the possibility of major losses
in an independent risk assessment published by OnRe, Allez Labs modeled a Hurricane Sandy-like event affecting multiple treaties
the estimated impact on ONyc's NAV ranged from -13.1% to -22.1% across the modeled scenarios
these were hypothetical stress-test results not actual losses
for solana:5Y8NV33Vv7WbnLfq3zBcKSdYPrk7g2KoiQoe7M2tcxp5 holders, the takeaway is simple
real diversification isnt just about the number of contracts
its about how those contracts respond when the same catastrophe hits

what if a loss has already happened but the insurer hasnt heard about it yet?
thats one of the uncertainties in reinsurance
its called IBNR (incurred but not reported)
imagine a storm damages an insured property today, but the claim isnt reported until weeks later
the loss has already occurred, even though the insurer hasnt received the claim
thats why insurers and reinsurers estimate losses that may have happened but havent been reported yet and include them in their reserves
these estimates can change as more claims are reported and new information becomes available
so why does this matter for @onrefinance and solana:5Y8NV33Vv7WbnLfq3zBcKSdYPrk7g2KoiQoe7M2tcxp5 ?
ONyc generates yield from reinsurance underwriting and collateral income
OnRe's underwriting process considers historical losses and expected claims, while its NAV methodology accounts for expected or reported losses
if loss estimates increase, portfolio performance and ONyc's NAV could be affected
thats why understanding ONyc goes beyond watching APY
how losses are estimated and reserves are managed matters too
transparency improves visibility, but it doesnt eliminate uncertainty
