Making a mockery of this it puts the amazing front of house teams in quite a disrespectful & dangerous place to work. We've seen staff being assaulted asking patrons to be quiet. With such a platform they should be promoting etiquette, respect & consideration, not the opposite.

The attitude towards this is really demeaning to our industry… theatre isn’t a joke, and shouldn’t be treated as such. The fact that all three are laughing, and @AlisonHammond even says “I won’t go to the show now” is quite frankly disappointing. Go to a concert to sing along. Go to the theatre to enjoy and appreciate art. For certain jukebox shows, they often have specific performances for sing a longs, or wait until the encore at the end of the show when you are invited by the cast to join in. Start treating the arts with respect. This interview is giving license to so many people to ridicule our industry, and treat us as jokes. The three of you are utterly disappointing, and I would hope you apologise and hold yourselves accountable for behaving this way.

Laughing in the face of Musical Theatre, dismissing it as a cheap singalong, is a huge insult.
They regularly book West End shows to perform live, relying on them to attract viewers, yet disrespect them live on air!?
