ALT Figure 1 Differential impact of onset to puncture (OTP) time and procedure time (PT) on thrombectomy outcomes. (A) Adjusted ORs (aORs) for three clinical outcomes: 90-day modified Rankin Scale score (mRS) 0–2, 90-day mortality, and 90-day mRS shift, showing comparisons between OTP (left) and PT (right) obtained via multivariate regression models. Shorter PT demonstrates a stronger association with better outcomes compared with shorter OTP, n=6644 patients. Regression models were controlled for age, sex, race, comorbidities (hypertension, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, hyperlipidemia, heart failure, prior stroke), pre-stroke mRS, admission NIHSS, IV thrombolytics, location of occlusion, successful recanalization, ASPECTS, OTP, and PT. Stepwise backpropagation was used for variable selection in the final model as described in methods. (B) Time equivalence analysis showing that 5 min of PT corresponds to 78–101 min of OTP in terms of equivalent impact on outcome rates.
