Morning. So much @AFCWimbledon talk out there right now. It is well worth reading the full pack on the proposed investment. Here it is: afcwimbledon.co.uk/the-dons-… But if you want a one minute overview I did this.

Interesting. Been saying for a while that I think @KemiBadenoch will be our next Prime Minister. She speaks in common-sense language that resonates with voters, and is very likeable. Burnham already struggling, Reform/Greens toast, Lib Dems irrelevant.
YouGov - Sky - Times voting intention LAB 24%(-3) CON 23%(+3) RefUK 21%(-1) LDEM 12%(+1) GRN 11%(nc) Oct 11-12 Pollster note: The changes are within the margin of error, so it's difficult to distinguish signal from noise, but I suspect there is some degree of "conference bounce" there, with the Tories getting a boost from their coverage, and Labour declining again as the temporary impact of their own conference fades. It may well be a temporary Tory boost, but for the record it means this is the first time that we have had Reform back in third place since 2024 (it’s technically the first time since early 2024 – but we didn’t poll between the election and January 2025 while we were reviewing methods, so we don’t know exactly when Reform overtook the Tories).

Everyone at AFC Wimbledon was immensely sad to hear of the passing of our dear friend and colleague Michael ‘Mikey T’ Taliadoros. Our thoughts are with Mikey’s family and friends. Rest in peace Mikey, a Wimbledon legend in every sense. afcwimbledon.co.uk/news/2026…

Awful news. @MikeTRadioWDON has died. The voice of @AFCWimbledon commentary, I’d heard him all over the world. Mike had just celebrated his 2000th consecutive Dons game; his recall was encyclopaedic and unmatched. This explosion of joy rightly went viral: a fitting tribute. RIP
File this under ICONIC football commentaries - this is special from @MikeT_RadioWDON 😍 #AFCW 🟡🔵

This is disgraceful. Why the f*ck has this monster been released, and why isn’t he being deported today?
🚨 BREAKING: Ringleader of a Rochdale grooming gang, Shabir Ahmed, has been released from prison today. The Pakistani migrant was jailed for 22 years in August 2012 after being found guilty of 30 child rape charges involving girls as young as 12, but released this morning after serving less than 14. Ahmed was one of the nine men from Rochdale and Oldham who were found guilty of exploiting girls at two takeaway restaurants in the Heywood area of Rochdale. Due to the Immigration Act 1971, he will not be deported back to Pakistan.

Every single person who still cringes at the memory of trying to bullshit their way through an interview or exam question: today, the slate is wiped clean. Set down your burden of shame. Nothing - nothing, I say - could touch this.

Every other day a new motorhome appears in my mother-in-law's drive and Neil hands me another bucket full of jewellery and cosmetics. I can only assume he's got himself a part time job I'm too busy to ask about.
