Here’s a prompt I love for finding the most-linked-to content across dozens of sites at once. (Not to copy anyone, but to get inspiration for your own efforts.) "For these 20 [finance] sites, pull live crawled pages tagged as ‘Research’. Remove anything that isn’t an article, then use Batch Analysis to rank them by referring domains." You can provide the sites yourself, or ask ChatGPT/Claude/etc. to pull organic competitors via the Ahrefs API. For some sites, opinion pieces pick up the most links. In industries with a lot of SaaS companies, you'll see a ton of original tools and research. Check content sites in the beauty or fashion space, and you'll likely learn more about the research they report on rather than create. Start small to make sure you're happy with the results. On our cheapest plan with API/MCP access (Lite), you could check ~30K URLs this way if you only pull back referring domains, which could be hundreds of sites depending on how much they cover that specific page type. Of course, not all links are created equal, so you can play around with different filters. AI is then really good at finding commonalities, excluding topics you've already covered, and highlighting anything you might have unique insights on. As I say, the goal isn’t to copy anyone, but to get inspiration on ways you can make something great. Hopefully this is useful. Please let me know if you would like to see more of these 🙏

Today, Ahrefs is launching a brand-new adaptive model for organic traffic estimates. We've refreshed the weights we apply to SERP features, including AI Overviews, and the calculations behind those will update on a more frequent basis. For some sites you'll see only minimal changes, while for others the difference will be more pronounced. We're taking our time to make sure it performs as we expect, so for now it's opt-in only via Settings in Site Explorer. If you switch to the adaptive model, you'll see updated stats across Site Explorer, except for backlink reports and the 'Top organic competitors' widget. Historical data is also affected, though anything earlier than February 2025 uses the state of the model as it was in that month. You can use the new model in our API by passing the traffic_mode=adaptive parameter. We're happy with what we're seeing so far, but there may be some oddities, and we would appreciate any feedback as we continue to improve it. You can DM me here and I can pass it on to the right people, or please feel free to reach out to Ahrefs via the usual channels if you have any comments. Thank you! 🙌

Aparently even alt text can't tell us apart 😅 We spotted this by hand. But with firehose.com, you shouldn't have to. Set up a rule watching for your brand name, and you get pinged the moment a page mentions you (mismatch or not): title:ahrefs AND recent:24h

Monitoring your AI visibility is hard work. You need to: ~ generate tons of relevant prompts and fan-out queries ~ set up (and pay for) thousands of API calls to all the major LLMs ~ make sure you're getting grounded responses back ~ save (and periodically update) all of those responses ~ analyze that mountain of data for brand mentions, citations, competitor mentions, you name it ...or you can use @ahrefs Brand Radar, and get all of that data in one place :) ChatGPT. And Perplexity. And Gemini. And Copilot. And AI Overviews. Millions and millions of prompt responses that you can filter and analyze however you like. Alongside a searchable database of billions of website pages and billions of keywords, so that you can see how AI visibility compares with your brand's appearance across the web. And built-in reports like share of voice, competitor comparisons, estimated brand reach, commonly cited domains (for digital PR and outreach)... No vibe coding required :)

Search is becoming AI-first — and so is @Ahrefs. We’ve added a brand new “AI citations” report front and center in our interface to reflect this shift. You’ll now see how often your website gets cited by ChatGPT, Google AIO, Perplexity, Gemini, and more... We’re also in the process of expanding our “AI queries” dataset 10x (from ~1M to ~10M). And we’re just getting started. 😉 — @Ahrefs has built its reputation on data quality. And as the world is shifting to AI-driven search, it’s our #1 priority to provide you with the highest quality data to help you navigate this change.

Did you get your ticket to @Ahrefs Evolve in Singapore already? Because it looks like we're going to have a fairly high-profile crowd. 😎 - Only 5% of our attendees are "Junior-level" - Only 6% are "Freelancers" We still have 5 VIP tickets left (includes a networking event at Ahrefs HQ) and around 100 regular ones. Ticket sales typically accelerate in the last few weeks before the event. So make sure you don't postpone the decision to go until the last moment. By the looks of it so far there's a very good chance we're going to be sold out soon. 😉
