I earn £100 grand a year.
I have a detached house. 2 cars and my wife is a full time home maker.
I can just about afford this. I probably couldn’t afford the house I own if I was buying for the first time today.
My salary puts me in the top 5% of earners in the UK.
Top 5% to have a similar standard of living to Homer Simpson.
That is a disgrace.
We have a flatter salary distribution than Soviet Russia and the highest taxes and borrowing costs we’ve seen in generations.
Success is almost impossible because our tax system means hard work makes you a stressed out tax cow, not wealthy and certainly not free.
We need something radical.
Less state.
More family.
Less handouts.
More reward for risk.
Instead. Tomorrow, Labour will offer another batch of policies which will send one message to aspirational Brits: why bother.
I read a piece in the FT this week about the price of being middle class in Britain now and it said a couple earning £436,000 combined take home £216,000. That’s a crazy amount of tax, and it doesn't include VAT on purchases, council tax, stamp duty or other taxes (I think does include pension contributions). I can’t stop thinking about it.

I'll always have my own opinion on City & dare to voice it..happily interacting with any City fan whether they agree or not as long its respectful.
What ive found lately is those who don't agree have to 'try' to insult cos they quickly get shown to be out of their depth..

Now isn't this better than pissing about at the bk playing high risk for little reward football?!
Playing good football in the oppo half doesn't half make a difference.
This is something you can get behind..even if ya getting beat.
Who'd of thought eh..well amazingly quite a few!

Now he's giving us all heart conditions with his passing out from the back

A bit of a mental story. Ex-#SaintsFC goalkeeper Alex McCarthy has told Ben Foster's podcast that he was advised to retire while at the club due to a heart condition.

Day 7 in the bag, 35km down just 120km more of this years @prostateunited representing team @LCFC #LCFC to raise money and awareness for @ProstateUK
This morning I got to run alongside a returning favourite of mine, the good old British rain ☔️ 😂
The reason for doing this challenge is simple this disease affects 1 in 8 men and a man dies every 45 minutes.
Please follow, like and share my posts to help spread the word across your community, network and friends, it really does make a difference. So far this year I have raised nearly £1,900 but it would be great to smash my £7,000 target and £20,000 raised in total for this amazing cause
if you are able to make a donation no matter how small, then please click the link to my just giving page below, every £ really does help and is very much appreciated.

The one good thing when Russell Martin does get sacked, which he will at some point, will be at least we are not linked with Russell Martin again #lcfc

🦊 Russell Martin's position as Leicester City boss 'hanging by a thread' as sources reveal the under-fire Foxes board are looking seriously at potential successors.
The 2016 Premier League champions are 17th in League One 📉

Savage demanded every single time,esp during that 1st half,that Boro find their 2 wingers in 1 or at most 2 passes..it destroyed us.
If they were in our side it would take 60 passes before we looked to find em allowing the oppo to stroll bk in shape..then go bkwards once we did!
We have conceded 20 goals in just 12 competitive matches.
If we appointed Big Sam today, he would simply look and that and say "this week we are spending 5 days training on DEFENDING"
So basic, Brussel Martin 🙄🙄

They all need removing:
* Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha
* Kevin Davies
* Jon Rudkin
* James McCarron
* Russell Martin

Got absolutely zero pace in this squad either, something that has seemed deliberate in recent regimes to force pedestrian possession football as there's no alternative. In an era where there's been some truly shocking scandals in our country, our decline should be right up there.
