Florida’s children deserve accountability and support for their families before crisis hits. In my latest op ed for @Fla_Pol, I share why we must strengthen both.
Megan Rose (@Mrsmeganleerose, @btogetherorg): The grand jury sounded the alarm. Now #Florida must answer it.

Florida’s grand jury report demands a serious response. We need accountability within child welfare, and we need stronger support for families before they reach a breaking point. My latest op ed:

Guess what Florida! An actual cold front is coming this weekend. NWS low temps here for Sunday AM showing 60's deep into the state. Low humidity and dew points will make many feel some cooler air most the weekend. Need to get some wood for that firepit! spaghettimodels.com

It’s been one year since we lost @charliekirk11.
Yes, Charlie was a good friend, but he was so much more than that. He knew what his purpose was. Charlie loved the Lord. He lived out his faith every single day, and he knew being a dedicated husband and an incredible father was the most important job he had here on this earth.
But the legacy he left behind isn’t just his precious kids and family; it’s the movement he started. Charlie was a visionary who knew FREEDOM was worth fighting for and conservative values were worth protecting. Just days before Charlie was tragically killed, he and I had one last conversation about how we could work together to stand against socialism and keep up the fight for freedom. That conversation sticks with me, and the fight he was leading is just as important today as it ever was.
The fact is, you can’t kill ideas, and you can’t kill the TRUTH.
Charlie inspired generations to know what they believed and why, and he set an example of why open dialogue and debate mattered. They matter even more now after his assassination. We must continue where Charlie left off and build on his legacy so that future generations continue to know the value of living out one’s convictions in a way that brings people together, not the evil violence that resulted in his death and has the potential to tear our country apart. If we want to save this country, we need to learn to talk to each other again like fellow citizens – not enemies.
Today, I can’t help but also think about his lovely wife, @MrsErikaKirk. Anne and I continue to keep her and their kids in our prayers. Amid unimaginable loss, Erika bravely stepped up and reminded all those who meant to silence Charlie and all that he stood for that the impact of his life’s work is only just beginning.
It’s important we never forget what Charlie taught us, and we continue honoring his life, which is why I’m introducing a resolution to remember his legacy and all that he stood for on the one-year anniversary of his death.
We will NEVER FORGET Charlie, and we will never stop fighting for the conservative ideas he fought to protect.
