The war has been a disaster for America and the UK.
Yesterday Trump suffered the electoral consequences of his mistake.
The lesson? Always put the safety and prosperity of your people first๐
The Iranian regime is wicked, but this war needs to come to an end as soon as possible because it is making Britain poorer.
Reform are a party for working people, not drawn-out wars in faraway places.
The liberal interventionists of the early 21st century failed our own people, leaving them poorer and more exposed to mass migration, not to mention the brave British men whose lives were lost. The British people have had enough of them. Itโs time to be realists and put Britain first.
Thatโs why Nigel Farage immediately ruled out suggestions that the UK might deploy boots on the ground. Nor do we see why British aircraft should become involved in offensive action.
In just a matter of days, people are feeling the side effects of this conflict. The cost of filling up your car or van has already risen sharply. Those who rely on heating oil to heat their homes are feeling the pinch. And very soon household prices will rise more sharply. The fact is that the longer this war continues, the more damage it will cause to British families, businesses and manufacturers.
We must channel Palmerston and ruthlessly pursue our national self-interest. That means being steadfast in our defence of our people and bases in the region. But it also means being clear that a prolonged conflict in the Middle East will see prices spiral here and hurt everyone in their pocket.
The only war the Government should be waging is on the malign Iranian influence here on our own soil. The radical Imams Tehran funds. The extremism they promote. The agents they send on small boats. The IRGC needs to be proscribed, the funding cut off, and our porous borders sealed shut. Illegal migrants from Iran must be removed.
If those egging on British military involvement in Iran were as eager to secure our border we would be a much safer country.
And as everything becomes more expensive, Starmer should be making life easier for people. I warned the Chancellor on Tuesday that a rise in fuel duty at a time when prices are already rising by 20 per cent was a terrible idea, yet she has doubled down. So too has Ed Miliband, who refuses to grant new oil and gas licenses against all logic.
At a time when our country is broken and in need of serious repair, we do not need distractions. Our sole interest must always be in making the British people safer and more prosperous. There is no time to waste.

London is hosting โThe Thinking Muslim Conferenceโ this weekend.
One speaker said he would be willing to carry out a suicide bombing.
Another was described as a member of Al-Qaeda, and met the Taliban.
I have written to the Home Secretary about the obvious security concerns.

I moved from New York to Texas, and somehow woke up today in a blue state.
Republicans have become completely out of touch with reality and the very base they claim to represent.
Texas exit polling shows that the GOPโs losses were driven almost exclusively by โminorityโ voters.
Greg Abbott spent years begging tech companies to relocate to Texas, bringing their H-1B employees with them, the majority of whom are from India.
In Sugar Land, Texas, a 90-foot-tall statue of the Hindu god Hanuman was built. It is the tallest statue in Texas and the fourth tallest in the United States.
We have fully functioning Sharia communities, along with Sharia courts and schools.
Three mosques in Texas are funded, staffed, and directly controlled by the Turkish government.
Abbottโs largest donor is a Muslim Pakistani who has contributed more than $14 million, including $2 million this year alone.
The very people he has brought into Texas and allowed to take over have made the state unrecognizableโand have now voted him out.
Republican leadership spent years reshaping Texas politically, culturally, and demographically, seemingly convinced their hold on the state was untouchable.
In doing so, they have handed Democrats a historic victory of their own making.
Oof big statement
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"โwhether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasnโt sharp enough down the stretch. Iโm sure thatโs true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollsterโone of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday weโd lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (Sheโs also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcementโby focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, โI told you soโ: youโre right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Letโs take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.
No he lost because the Iran War , Cost of living and Gas prices.
Deportations and border control is the only thing he has done well. Too which has come back to bite him because how chaotic and how much of a spectacle ICE made it at the start.

Is this Ramallah? Gaza City?
No, it's Birmingham.
Where bins go uncollected, more than a quarter of the adult population is economically inactive, and the benefits bill is higher than anywhere else in the country.
I will never tire in fighting this disgusting sectarianism.

Texas had a Senator, John Cornyn, who voted like 98% conservative. He had a history of winning his races by large margins. But online influencers and podcasters knew better and primaried him with Paxton. And now not only will Republicans lose a Senate seat, they may lose the governorship. Absolutely foolish. If you care about good, conservative policy, you should care about having candidates that can appeal to a large enough constituency so they can win.
Republicans can flip the house in 28 and win the Presidency with the right candidates and messaging in place.
Dems for the next two years wonโt work to solve issues for Americans. Everything they will do will be about punishing their political opponents.
Voters wonโt like that.
The implications for the UK of Trump and the GOP getting absolutely decimated by the Democrats tonight is that a snap election is 100% happening in within the next 6 months.
Labour and Burnham will want to play on this massively.
Well MAGA is officially dead.
I think a lot of the senate seats lost can easily flip back but the one Iโm most concerned about is Texas.
Demographics is getting away from them in that state every year.
Lose Texas lose Presidency forever.
American politics is far better than UK.
Much better system with President , Senate , House and the like of governorships of states.
Itโs a much more interesting political environment.
