Tonight, my family and I experienced something no family should ever have to go through. Our restaurant, Singh’s Dining Restaurant in Hammersmith, was attacked by a group of Islamists. We had been receiving death threats every single day, including one that specifically warned us that 28 October would be our last day. We raised our concerns, and the @metpoliceuk were aware of the threats. Yet tonight, we found ourselves facing the very nightmare we had feared. My daughter had to close the shutters just in time. I cannot even begin to imagine what might have happened if she hadn’t acted so quickly. We could have lost someone in our family tonight. The attackers reportedly tried for a long time to break through the shutters to get inside, leaving shortly before the police arrived. We have serious concerns about how the attackers knew when to leave, and whether they were alerted before the police arrived. These concerns deserve a thorough and transparent investigation. Tonight, I am left facing a heartbreaking decision, Do we keep our doors open and risk our lives, or do we shut down the business we have worked so hard to build because I don’t serve Halal food. No family should ever have to choose between their livelihood and their safety. No one should have to live in fear in their own place of work. I am angry. I am heartbroken. I am frightened for my family’s safety. I am calling on the @metpoliceuk to take these threats seriously, investigate tonight’s attack thoroughly, and ensure that my family is protected. Please share this post. Let our voices be heard. We should not have to wait for someone to lose their life before our safety is taken seriously. Enough IS Enough. #Justice

"Who is bankrolling Nigel Farage's party?" asks Bridget Phillipson. "Labour will protect our democracy from foreign influence." Right. Same question back. Who is bankrolling Labour, and the machine around it? Gary Lubner. South African. Former Autoglass chief. Millions. Lord Alli. Buys the clothes, lends the flat. George Soros. Money into Best for Britain and Fair Vote, routed through a London outpost, which is how a foreign fortune gets round a ban on foreign donations. Pierre Omidyar. French-Iranian, eBay founder, funding the campaign groups. Bill Gates. In for the photo call. Swedish philanthropists. Bloomberg. And Verbatim, which made the Channel 4 sting she is riding, is itself funded from abroad. So the watchdog on foreign money is on foreign money. And those are off the top of my head. No research. Give me an afternoon and the list fills a page. So the party promising to protect democracy from foreign influence is up to its neck in it, legally, through the same door, and has proposed no cap that would inconvenience a single person in the room. They held a drinks party for them in Downing Street. The question is not who is bankrolling Farage. It is why Labour thinks the answer changes depending on whose name is on the cheque. "Protect our democracy from foreign influence." They would not know where to start.
Who is bankrolling Nigel Farage's party? What interests are they seeking to advance? Are they acting in Britain's best interests? Reform UK are engulfed in sleaze and scandal. Labour will protect our democracy from foreign influence. independent.co.uk/news/uk/po…

On a brief trip to Jerusalem yesterday, I managed to get something I’ve long coveted. It’s an ancient Judean coin turned into a necklace. It’s an incredible 2000 years old bronze prutot from the time of the Emperor Claudius - celebrating the birth of the emperor’s son Britannicus. The Roman province was being by administered by Antonius Felix (52-59 CE). It was just a few years since Jesus had been killed and the early Christians were still seen as a Jewish sect and going to the Temple in Jerusalem. It was a Jewish state and had been for more than 500 years. Just a few years later, after a rebellion, the Romans sacked Jerusalem and expelled the Judeans: the Jews. Some were taken as slaves, others fled. A few stayed, impoverished, treated badly and often even refused permission to go to the Western wall, all that remained of the great temple. The descendants of those who fled ended up in all corners of the world but the desire to return always remained a central hope: particularly as in almost every land Jews were reminded they were outsiders, foreigners, not wanted, at best treated as second class citizens, at worse, ethnic cleansing and genocide. So when ignorant people say Jews took someone else’s homeland I ask them to think about this history. When the Zionists returned to their brethren in what is now the state of Israel, they joined Jews who had been there for centuries. There has always been room to share: just this week the world has been forced to see that there is a very politically active Arab minority living in Israel who took part in the vote for the only democracy in the Middle East. And I would ask these antizionists who hate us so, who deny this is our homeland too, where would you like the Jews to go?

"Niqab was never a choice. Anyone who claims that it is, is privileged. I myself don’t wear niqab, I wore it once in my life, when I was 12, “by my choice” because I thought I could accept it if they didn’t force it on me. And thats the reality, most women “choose” to wear it before their families force it on them, because it becomes easier to convince yourself that you chose it than to face the fact that you never really had a choice. But, It was never a choice Thanks to the strong women in my family who fought against it, we all took it off. But I still see this reality everywhere around me. I still see the misery, the shame, and the insecurity in women who have been taught that their faces are something sinful, shameful, and something they MUST hide. I still see girls hiding the fact they got their period because they’re terrified that their families will force them to wear it, I still see girls terrified when someone threatens to post their faces. Since when is your face something that can be used to blackmail you? Since when is a cute selfie of you something shameful? Since when did showing the face you were born with become a threat? And the same men who blackmail these little girls are often the same men who cover up their mothers and sisters, because the problem was never the woman’s face. It was always the way men were taught to look at it, and the actions they choose to take because of it. This is how corrupted our reality has become. I can never excuse privileged women who defend niqab as if every woman experiences it as a free and harmless choice. I’m considered privileged myself for being able to live without niqab or hijab. But I will never deny the misery and suffering the strong women in my family went through, nor the suffering so many saudi women are still going through. You should never have to be ashamed of your own face Your face is not shameful You face isn’t a sin your face isn’t something that should be used against you. Their actions are shameful, Their eyes are the problem. Stop teaching girls to hide themselves, stop teaching women to be ashamed of existing. SPEAK UP."

Imagine you are a dental hygienist and live in Sweden.. You are employed to help “migrant children” with their dental issues. As part of your job you examine the wisdom teeth development of the kids and you notice that 80% of those “kids” have fully formed wisdom teeth, implying they are not kids at all but adults older than the age of 18. You tell the Swedish Migration Agency and they advise you to put it in writing. When you send exact details, with examples of specific patients you are suspended, investigated and fired for disclosing private information relating to patients. This happened to Bernt Herlitz in 2017. When he appealed the unfair dismissal he ultimately lost and was fined about $50,000. He and his family faced financial hardship and almost lost their home, until some generous benefactors raised money for him. Bernt remains unemployed today, despite staff shortages for dentists in his area in Gotland. At the time, Sweden scoffed at the tests and claimed they were “discriminatory” but since then they have quietly brought in mass dental testing, for those whose age is in doubt, by the National Board of Forensic Medicine. Bernt deserves a medal. Not vilification and unemployment.

In the past week alone, Muslims have: 1. Slaughtered 9 Christians during a funeral in Jordan. 2. Beheaded 40 Christians in Nigeria with machetes. 3. Massacred 60 Christians in Ethiopia and burned down their homes. They didn’t get even 1% of the media coverage Gaza gets.

Labour’s VAWG plan going well then! 🙄 A 14-year-old boy repeatedly stabbed a girl who rejected his advances, using a SIX-INCH kitchen knife. He stabbed her at least TEN TIMES. A shopkeeper who tried to intervene was also stabbed. The attack was premeditated. The judge acknowledged how terrifying and dangerous it had been. And the sentence? A 12-month referral order and a three-year restraining order. No further custody. Judge Ian Lawrie KC reportedly told him: “You’re a bright lad” and “keep out of mischief.” Mischief?! As though he'd been caught nicking a few apples off somebody's tree, rather than chasing a terrified girl through a shop and repeatedly stabbing her because she dared to say NO! The judge also said custody was the last place he should be... What about the girl? Her trauma? Her safety? Her right to reject a boy without fearing for her life? Of course young offenders need rehabilitation. But surely that cannot come at the expense of meaningful accountability for such extreme violence. Labour promises to halve violence against women and girls within a decade. How can we expect girls to believe that violence against them is taken seriously when this is how an attempted rejection-fuelled attempted killing is dealt with? Her mother called the sentence “disgraceful.” I can certainly understand why. A girl's life is worth more than a boy's promising future. archive.ph/OA7SQ

"I am a 20-year-old Saudi woman, and this is my story about a freedom I came to understand too late, and a childhood that never truly felt like mine. Ever since I was a child, I watched my twin brother live a life that was completely different from mine. He was allowed to ride a bicycle, ride horses, swim in the sea and in swimming pools, and go out with his friends. He was allowed to simply be a child, to experience things, and to explore the world without fear. I was never given that same opportunity. I watched him live the life I wished I could have lived, and I would quietly ask myself: Why can he do these things while I cannot? Why did being born a girl mean that there were so many things I had to be denied? I did not understand what discrimination meant at the time, but I could feel it. When I was nine years old, something else happened that changed the way I saw myself and my appearance forever. My mother forced me to wear the niqab. I was only a nine-year-old girl, yet I began to learn that my face was something I should be ashamed of. I was bullied by male relatives who called me “the black garbage bag.” My mother would repeatedly tell me, “Your face is shameful. You have to cover it.” Imagine being a little girl and repeatedly being told that your face is something shameful. Little by little, I stopped feeling ashamed only of my face. I began to feel ashamed of myself as a whole. I started seeing my face as something wrong, something that had to be hidden, as if simply being seen as I was was something disgraceful. But how can a person ever feel at home within themselves if they were taught from childhood to be ashamed of their own face? When I was fifteen, I got my first phone. Through it, I discovered a world I had never known existed. I saw women from different places living their lives without covering their faces. I saw women looking at themselves in the mirror and being proud of their appearance, seeing their faces as a natural part of their identity rather than something that needed to be hidden. For the first time, I began asking myself: What if my face was never something shameful in the first place? What if I am beautiful just as I am? What if I have the right to see the world, and to let the world see me? From that moment on, my desire for freedom began to grow inside me. I was not looking for rebellion for the sake of rebellion, nor did I want to hurt anyone. I simply wanted something very basic: the right to decide how I live and how I present myself to the world. I tried going outside without my niqab just once. But I discovered that the freedom I had dreamed about for years could be terrifying when I finally experienced it. I walked outside feeling like a lost cat. I kept looking from side to side, watching everything around me in fear. Every car I saw looked like my father’s car. Every woman wearing a niqab reminded me of my mother. I was not experiencing freedom in that moment. I was experiencing years of fear that had been planted inside me since childhood. Every time I tried to talk to my mother about wanting to take off my niqab, she threatened to kill me. And at that point, it became about more than just a piece of fabric. It became about my life, my fear, and my right to be myself. I am now twenty years old, and sometimes I feel like I am still trying to reclaim the little girl I once was. A girl who never got to ride a bicycle, never learned to ride a horse, never learned to swim, never experienced a normal childhood, and instead learned to be afraid of herself and of the world around her. I did not get to live the childhood I wanted. But is it fair for me to lose my youth too? I am not asking for a perfect life. I am not asking for anything extraordinary. I simply want to live my life like any other woman. I want to be able to walk outside without feeling as though I am committing a crime simply because my face is visible. I want to look in the mirror without feeling ashamed. I want to see my face and feel that it belongs to me, rather than feeling that it is something I must hide. I want to live without threats, without oppression, and without fear. I have spent years learning how to hide. Now, all I want is to learn how to live. I want to be myself, before more years pass and I realize that I spent my entire life being afraid to be who I am."

What an outstanding news reporter. If we had done what is shown in that video, we would have been arrested and jailed. Thank God there is no racism in this post. I hope people are beginning to understand that the justice system is no longer protecting the citizens of our countries. I am under no illusion that our countries have been taken over.

When Muslims tell you who they are believe them. There’s no peace or co-existence when it comes to Muslims. They aren’t here to integrate or to live with you in your secular, superior countries. They’re here to conquer you and they say so themselves. If only you listened.

Migrants get a boat to the Canary Islands where they are helped by the Red Cross. They are then flown from Canary Islands to mainland Spain. They are then helped by the Red Cross (again) in getting to France. Free public transport across France to the migrant camps where they are looked after by all the NGOs until they eventually get on a boat to the UK. Its all very co-ordinated & well organised. Look at the boats the migrants use, they arent inflatable dinghies, ur not telling me they are destroyed after each journey. Spain and France are helping these men get to the UK with free flights & public transport 🤬🤬 @GBNEWS @PatrickChristys

Walker: "I nearly bought a wool jumper in town. £140. Nice work if you can get it." Farmer: "I got about £2 for the fleece." Walker: "£2?" Farmer: "Per sheep, per year. Clipped it off her in two minutes, rolled it, bagged it, drove it to the depot. The cheque for the whole flock didn't cover the diesel." Walker: "Then who's getting the £140?" Farmer: "Not me, not the shearer. He costs me more per sheep than the wool fetches. I pay to have it taken off." Walker: "So you lose money shearing." Farmer: "Every year. And I can't not shear, or she cooks in July and the flies eat her alive. The wool's a welfare job that used to be an income." Walker: "Sell it yourself, then. Cut out the middleman." Farmer: "Not allowed. By law it goes through the board. Has done since 1950. I can keep a fleece for the wife to knit with, and that's about the extent of my freedom." Walker: "So where does it go?" Farmer: "Washed in Bradford, if we're lucky. Shipped to China, spun, knitted, shipped back, and sold to you with a label about heritage. By the time it's in the window there are eleven people between us and I'm the only one who met the sheep." Walker: "That's mad." Farmer: "My grandfather paid the rent on the wool cheque. I pay a man to take it away. Same sheep, same hill, same jumper in the window. Only the price of the farmer went down." Walker: "What would fix it?" Farmer: "You buying the jumper. And asking them where the other £138 went."

She was born in Iran and built her life in Afghanistan a woman's rights activist with a voice that frightened the men around her. So her ex-husband threw acid on her face. In the hospital, after the surgeries, she sat with her head shaved doctors had taken skin from her scalp to rebuild her face. She was still bandaged, still bleeding, still healing. But her son was not by her side. He was living with his father. And his father set the condition: if you want to talk to your son, you will do it on a video call so I can see what you've become. She accepted. She needed to hear her child's voice. On that call, her ex-husband looked at her destroyed face and smiled. He said: "Look at you. You've become like a monster. You'll never dare go out in public again people will be terrified when they see you. I dare you. I dare you to go out and talk about women's rights." He thought he had broken her. He thought that face was the end of her. He was wrong. Every scar on her face became a sentence in her speech. They took her beauty so she took his fear and turned it into courage. Today she walks in public with her head high, and she speaks about women's rights louder than ever. He wanted to bury her in shame. Instead, he gave the world a witness. That is why I invited her to our Freedom gala in Poland to dedicate to her the Medal of Freedom I received. Because she is the symbol of resilience itself: the symbol of every woman whose face was burned but whose voice could not be silenced. Thank you, Poland for opening your doors, for giving visas to my delegation of women from Iran, Afghanistan, and Cameroon. We are about to start a global women's rights movement and we will go together, all of us, to the German Parliament very soon. This time, I invited 10 women. In Berlin, we will invite more dissidents. @FahimaSarfaraz

I just learned that he has no mother or father to speak up for him. And now the Islamic Republic wants to hang him. His name is Ilya Ben Rashid. He is a young Iranian protester He has a younger sister. Now he is facing a death sentence. He was arrested during the January 2026 protests in Iran. A Revolutionary Court in Isfahan sentenced him to death on charges of “waging war against God” for allegedly damaging public property. He is being held in Dastgerd Prison. Reports say he was denied a lawyer of his choice. Imagine facing execution for demanding freedom. We must become his voice. We must stop his execution. Say his name. A frightened woman recently reached out to me for help. She told me she and her village feel powerless. She lives in a small village where a hotel was closed to the public and used to house asylum seekers, without any warning to the people who live there. Since then, residents report two sexual assaults, teenage girls have been harassed, followed and chased as they get off the school bus, and one man has reportedly been standing at people's windows, taking photos inside their homes and trying to get into houses. A few days ago, she saw him approach a group of teenage girls as they got off the bus, telling them they had to give him "favours". The girls were terrified, so she stepped in and bravely put herself between them and the man. Days later, the same man stood outside her home making "I'm watching you" gestures, then drew his finger across his throat. She did everything right. She reported it. So did her neighbours, with more than 50 calls to the police in half an hour about one incident. But she told me that each time, he's simply taken back to the hotel. Nobody came to check on her after the threat, nobody updated her, and when she rang again she was told he might just need a welfare check. She's even been told to stop talking about it. When she tried to organise a community meeting online, her posts were reported and taken down. When women and girls are frightened in their own village, and the people who speak up are made to feel like the problem, something has gone badly wrong. It is not acceptable. The police, the Home Office and those running the hotel all have a duty to keep this community safe. When residents report the same man again and again, and the answer is to take him back to the hotel and walk away, that duty is not being met. Those in charge must be held to account, and they must be made to answer for every report that was brushed aside. So I've been helping her and her neighbours to take action. I've put together a full pack for them to use: a joint letter for residents to sign to their MP and Police and Crime Commissioner, a formal complaint about the police response, a letter to the school about the girls' safety, a request for a public meeting through their parish council, and forms so every incident is properly recorded. Facts, dates and reference numbers are much harder to ignore than worried phone calls. I'm not naming the village. Yet. This is about getting results for the women and girls living there, not about putting anyone at further risk. If something similar is happening where you live, please don't stay silent. Keep a record, report everything, and reach out. You don't have to do it on your own, and you are NOT powerless.
