Something is about to pop off.
🚨 PAY ATTENTION TO THIS. The State Department is warning Americans in the Middle East to stay on heightened alert as tensions rise and the possibility of escalation remains. Flight cancellations. Airspace closures. Travel disruptions. Things can change fast over there. This is one to watch.

We are about to lose the last men who were draft age in World War II. The rest of the Greatest Generation is going with them. Those memories were this country’s moral compass. They built the America we inherited. I fear a lot of this new wave is hell-bent on forgetting that, and then repeating it. They are not hiding it anymore. They dress it up as equity, fairness, and “the right side of history.” It is the same machine: the state decides what you may say, what you may own, what you may teach your kids, and who gets punished for refusing. They call it progress. It is control. Socialism does not stay soft. It hardens into communism the second it has enough power to stop asking. My grandfather drove a tank through the wreckage that ideology leaves behind. Growing up with him is what made me the man I am. He did not crawl out of that century so we could vote the same ideas back in with better branding. When that generation is gone, nobody is left to look us in the eye and say they already saw this movie. Remember it anyway. Socialism is not compassion. It is the warning they paid for in blood.

They told us it was science. A lot of it was permission. If you took the shot, you got your job, your plane ticket, your restaurant, your campus, your family’s approval. If you refused, you became the reason the emergency could not end. Not a person with a different risk calculation. A contaminant.

They did not have to line us against a wall. They only had to make ordinary life conditional. Work. Travel. School. Seeing the people you love. Papers or you’re outside. That is still coercion. Calling it “a choice” while they held the keys is how decent people talk themselves into a two-tier country.

This is my mother. In 2017 she received a double lung transplant. By 2020 she was walking again. She quit smoking. She ate clean. Rehab twice a week. She was winning. A transplant is not something you survive once and forget. She lived on anti-rejection medication that had to match her bloodwork. Miss that window and the new lungs start to die. The hospital was supposed to watch that for the rest of her life.

Then COVID hit. We lived in a blue state. Hospitals shut their doors to almost everyone who was not a COVID patient. If it was not labeled an emergency, you waited. May 2020 she developed a cough. We called her doctor. He would not see her. He kept calling in steroids. A month of that. No exam. No bloodwork. No stethoscope on a woman breathing with someone else’s lungs.

The moral standing is simple: Bodily autonomy is not a hobby you suspend when the news is scary. Emergency powers are supposed to shrink when the facts change. A government and a culture that will lock you out of society for refusing an injection will lock you out for the next official story too. We are not asking anyone to pretend the vaccines did nothing. We are refusing to pretend that humiliation was health care. If that makes us the “suppressed side,” so be it. We would rather be the side that would not trade a neighbor’s livelihood for a QR code and a feeling of virtue.

I do not agree with everything President Trump says or does. I am not looking for a saint. I am looking for a country that will not put my family back in those days — the days I lost work, movement, and standing as an American for the crime of protecting my own body. He is on the side I trust not to run that play again. That is enough.
