I’ve been making paintings of Dracula using the ink wash off technique. Sometimes called ink resist.
You make your painting quick and swiftly, wash it under a tap leaving an image that can sometimes look like a negative or a wood cut.

The Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza by Andrea Palladio. The set at the back is by Vincenzo Scamozzi and made of wood - it was installed in 1585 and has stayed there ever since. We saw it behind gauze in this production of The Magic Flute. It must be fragile!
I seriously thought this was about fonts. A subject which fascinates me.
