In 1918, Ssekabaka Daudi Chwa II was also decorated as a Commander of the Order of the Crown of Belgium.
The honour was another international recognition received during his reign as the 34th Ssekabaka of Buganda.

In the 1918 New Year Honours, Ssekabaka Daudi Chwa II was appointed an honorary Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG).
On 18 September 1918, he joined the British Governor and other dignitaries at Bugongo in Entebbe to welcome home soldiers of the King’s African Rifles (KAR), who had returned from campaigns against German forces in Tanganyika and Rwanda-Urundi during the First World War.
These events remain part of the history of Ssekabaka Daudi Chwa II and Buganda during a significant period in the region’s history.

Most people never see this side of the ocean. Gorgonian sea fans like this one filter-feed sideways to the current living architecture that most divers swim right past.
I document reefs like this across oceans. Follow along if you want more of the ocean's quiet details. 🐠🌊

That time I decided adventure was my 2nd name & joined an expedition on the Zambezi River which has rapids in many sections.
This was my most difficult, but fun expedition. The rapids meant getting off & walking on the sides as the expert rafting guides did their thing. #GSOA
