He would return to our stage time and again, performing, guest hosting, and bringing his signature songs to audiences in Harlem and NYC. From “You Are My Lady” to “Rock Me Tonight,” Jackson’s smooth, powerful vocals helped define the golden era of contemporary R&B.
His connection to our stage is only part of the story. As one of R&B’s defining voices, Freddie Jackson has given us timeless love songs and a catalog that helped shape the sound of contemporary soul. Today we honor his legacy and the soundtrack of a generation. #RestInPower.
