Friend's mum was here today. Recently diagnosed coeliac. Made us all dinner- braised beef in red wine with mashed potatoes and fine green beans. As it was her birthday, I put together another batch of my brownies for pudding.
Really happy I was able to do something nice for her!
Men on X be like: YOU ARE NOT THE PRIZE. 😡
Me: My life says otherwise, boys. 💅
Best participation trophy ever.
Friend after reading my interactions on X:
You know, you don't have to be mean to people for free. They will pay you for it.
Much to bestie's disappointment, I have insisted we put away a brownie for her mum (also a coeliac) when she is here in a few days time.
They are apparently just too good. 😂
I don't think a lot of terminally online people complaining about a lack of success in relationships realise that they are in fact, the problem.
Tonight I did a roast pork shoulder with roast carrot and onion, mashed potato with whole grain mustard, petit pois, and homemade gravy.
For pudding we have some incredibly decadent, warm brownies (homemade) and vanilla ice cream.
A house full of well fed people!
Today we are baking very indulgent gluten free brownies, and maybe gluten free pumpkin cheesecake Tuesday. Wednesday it will be Parkin.
I will learn how to make onigiri. Bestie and I will go to the Chinese supermarket Monday. Maybe the Polish delivery too because I need more sour garlic dill pickles...
What remains of my apple cake.
Going to try and do a GF version for bestie because it is so very, very, good.
I would appreciate if a man went out in a Jason Momoa Aquaman costume, but told everyone he was actually a sexy corn on the cob.
Today I mentioned in a reply I have scars on my hands. There is no big lore behind this other than I am really clumsy and my knuckles dislocate.
I do have one amusing scar on my pinky caused by a vegetable peeler.
1/2? Maybe?
An ex bf bought me a peeler (VERY SHARP ONE) because I always used knives and it made him nervous. He insisted I use it.
Anyway, it ended up embedded in my pinky about 3mm deep through my nail and he made me go to the hospital where they said I dressed it fine. 2/
