What wrong babe? You’ve barely touched your little finder Tim.

On touch coming to the Mac, your timeline will be flooded with the same video of Steve saying ā€œit makes a great demoā€. While fair to call out (and however you feel about it personally), Apple has never been afraid to u-turn. Steve, as brilliant as he was, was responsible for some huge u-turns šŸ‘‡

4ļøāƒ£. E-books (2008): ā€œThe fact is that people don't read anymore.ā€ Steve stated this in an interview with the New York Times. He even dismissed the Kindle's prospects, then introduced iBooks on iPad just two years later. The kindle has turned out to be pretty successful.

The point is that companies and people, brilliant people included, are entitled to change their mind. If you don’t want to buy a touchscreen Mac, don’t. Apple offers the same MacBook with M5 Max + 128GB of RAM without the touch screen and for less money. It’ll all work itself out in the end.

I think it’s impressive that iMac still offers by far the most color choices despite what I’m sure are lower sales. It’s a very complex product with loads of color-matched parts and accessories.

I genuinely haven’t seen this level of stupidity and moronic behavior in the tech community for years. And that’s truly saying something. The sheer volume of rage bait is staggering and people keep falling for it. It’s all low-quality content designed to enrage you.

The durability videos? Entertainment only. Not representative of how people really use their devices and they’re absolutely not scientific. As for the ā€œcommentatorsā€, they’re in the business of saying whatever they need to say to get clicks. It’s how they make money.

If you want trusted, credible information, you aren’t going to find that on social media. It’s a game of ā€œlook at meā€. It isn’t journalism. It’s nonsense. Or AI. Often both. Buy the damn phone and enjoy it! Let people have their 5 seconds of fame. The ones who didn’t break it will be returning the phone soon anyway now they’ve filmed their ā€œcontentā€.

The fact that people are creating fake AI videos to exaggerate the narrative of a few cracked Duo units is a real sign of the times. And most of the ā€œdurability testsā€ are entertainment only. They shouldn’t be considered as serious or respectable reviews. If you want a Duo, ignore the nonsense and buy one.

Spent the weekend with the iPhone Duo. Here’s my first thoughts. 1ļøāƒ£. Incredible. Love the design, the displays and can’t wait to see how it evolves. Optimised apps are fantastic. Patience is needed so don’t dive in right away unless you’re comfortable waiting for apps to be updated. They’re being patched fast but some will take a while.ļæ¼

9ļøāƒ£. The crease is perceptually invisible 90% of the time. You don’t see it in the majority of situations. Especially when the display is on and you’re looking at it normally. If you tilt the phone then yes you can spot it at certain angles. It’s not a big deal. Especially compared to older folding phones.ļæ¼

Lastly, give yourself a few days to adjust. It’s a big change and the most fun I’ve had with an iPhone since the original. It’s an exciting time of possibility, with bold new ideas from developers. Let them cook.ļæ¼
