I don't think this is ripping off spore spawn, but not having played the game that defined the genre of your game, then trying to take a pot shot at the boss design of the same masterpiece of a game to try to make yours seem better? These are... definitely choices.

I'm sorry to break it to you but I had never seen this Metroid boss until 30 minutes ago. We're not ripping anything off, this is just one of dozens of bosses that has a weakspot located between 2 pieces of armour. There isn't much to "rip off" from Spore's design anyways.

Castlevania took what Metroid produced and abandoned its Classicvania identity. SotN is Metroid + RPG mechanics While I can see certain mechanics from games like Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and Hollow Knight, Castlevania: Belmont's Curse doesn't feel like either game. You
